all the animals are feed watered and cleaned although first thing thats hits you is smell thats due to the animals poohing and peeing that doesnt mean we never clean the cages thats why you will see the wire bottom so the pooh and pee can run threw onto a removable plateform and eailsy be cleaned and maintained also keep in mind the location of the store is in a very dusty area so will seem from the outside that no one ever cleans but we arnt talking about that we are talking about the animals best thing to do is go your self and find out more

Never Buy from a Pet Store! They are ALL puppy MILL PUPPIES! Boycott this store! AND all pet stores. There are tons of puppies in the shelter, YES pure breeds too! more

This is a horrible place,and needs to be shut down,the animals are in tiny cages with wire bottoms,there was no air conditioning in the place it was hot they had long haired puppies in the window in the sun with no ac.the kittens were thin and looked sick.the person that worked there went in the back as soon as we walked in and never came out the entire time we were there,the conditions that animals were being kept in was just appauling.I'm reporting them to the ASPCA more

Most people say to support you local business, but when it comes to this place STAY AWAY!!! It gives the pet industry a bad name. Please do not buy dogs here. Go to your local shelter!! I feel sad that this place is allowed to stay in business when its only for profit not for the love of animals :0( more

I been going to the Lemon Grove Pets to get vaccinations, and pet supplies, right now they have a Pekingnese, chihuahua, and a Itailan GreyHound. The puppies did have food and water, the itailan grey hound had plenty of toys. they look like in perfect health. I know these puppies are not from puppy mills, they are from a local breeder here in sandiego(breeder have very healthly dogs, and kennel free!). more

This pet store has moved 3 times since I have lived here, and each time I hope its because of new owners but the conditions remain terrible for the animals. They are not taken care of, it stinks, and I would never recommend this store. more

I have reported this store to the ASPCA and local animal services. It is hard to believe that the store owners who clearly have little or no regard for animals would choose this line of retain business. Cons: Overcrowded, neglected animals more

I visited the store for the first time two days ago. I immediately saw one kitten with bad eye infection & the trots stains, and had to draw attention to it. They removed it and said they would take it to their vet, but a real store owner/animal keeper should have seen that infection, all pus and closed eye, long ago while tending cages. Also, the cages are small, especially for adult cats. There is no bedding, just cold metal. The adut cat had to lie in its litter box for some comfort; there was not enough room between the litter bozx and food & water bowls to stretch out or even curl up. Another kitten was so small and scrawny, I think it was taken from it's mother way too soon. I generally felt the kits were skinny. I also saw a cage filled with p[erhaps 50+ smal birds with barely enough perches. I reported this to the City of Lemon Grove. If you are looking for a pet, please save one from this store, even if I give it a poor recommendation Pros: wide selection of supplies Cons: lots of animals crammed in small space more
