As a martial artist visiting from another state with fellow martial artists in the Bitterroot Valley, Montana it is hard to say much of note about this school. If you are new to the martial arts find another school with instructors with authentic rank in the arts they claim to teach and are active members of recognized organizations. The head instructor Greg Vaccaro teaches Arnis and wears the black belt with 7th DAN rank, a rank he never tested for or was awarded. The ranks he issues are meaningless in the real martial arts community. From watching the classes it his clear he has some martial arts skills at the black belt level but the school displays no formal rank certificates or certifications from any recognized organization. Lots of newspaper clippings and photos which are not helpful i n determining the true background of Mr. Vaccaro though from the photos it is suggested that he holds at least black rank, (Dan rank?) in Gen. Choi's ITF Tae Kwon Do. However he teaches Arnis a Filipino MA not Tae Kwon Do and claims a mixed martial art approach to teaching and unclear promotions of studewnts in his school.. Other high level martial arts friends in Montana claim the same experience when visiting this school and observing a class(es). They also claim that he good a rambling on about all his experiences and expertise. Only two classes each week in Arnis and the school is closed during the summer. Hardly a good curriculum for new students to learn and practice. The Arnis classes have at most about 8 students. His wife who also wears a black belt teaches a children's martial arts class (style ???) which is more like a children's romper room and nothing of value is presented to the young children which is very upsetting. The children's class has a very limited attendance and it is sad that parents are paying for this. Though an internet search shows that Mr. Vaccaro taught TKD back east most of us can only wonder what has produced the disappointing and dishonest current person. LOOK ELSEWHERE!
