#1 ORGANIC HAIR SALON IN NYC 6/25/2011

I love Le Salon! I am always changing my hair (cut, color) and tend to try out different salons to get a different look. Until I found Le Salon... Rada has done my color, highlights, and keratin and is truly the best! Ashraf has given me the nicest haircuts. They know exactly what I want and I always leave the salon feeling great about the results. They are warm and friendly and best of all, their organic products leave my hair healthy as ever no matter how many times I process it. And they use the best smelling hair products, which have turned into the only products I will now use. I HIGHLY recommend Le Salon for any of your hair needs!!! more

Bollywood Exclusive 4/19/2011

This is a fantabulous salon with a wonderful and professional staff. I went there for the first time and was treated with warmth and professionalism. It is rather difficult to find a salon that works with East indian hair, but they overcame the challenge. Ashraf is a delight and a true masterpiece. Marina, the hair colorist, was knowledgeable and listened to what I wanted. I love their herbal products and can't wait to go back. ""Jai Ho"" Le Salon which means you rock!!! more

Great organic Salon in good mid-town location 4/12/2011

I highly recommend Le Salon. Great ambience - comfortable, and cheerful. I have known Ashraf for many years. Have tried other Salons, but always returned to Ashraf. She is an artist. I also like to mention Marina, the hair colorist. She is very competent, patient and agreeable. I highly recommend Le Salon. What I also appreciate are their organic products. My formerly thin hair has more body and bounce. more

Great Friendly Organic Place Good Enough for Kids 4/9/2011

We love this place. It's cozy, friendly and no-nonsense. Ashraf, Marina are real professionals and they really know what they do. Since this salon is 100% organic there is no bad smell or chemicals thst one typically encounters in a regular salons. When my wife was pregnant we went to Le Salon on recommendation from a trusted friend and we became regulars here ever since. This place is even safe for little children. And good enough for the most discriminating Manhattanite's taste. You will be very pleased with this salon. We wholeheartedly recommend it to everybody. Tango more

Wonderful Ambience, Friendly Staff, Reasonable Prices 3/4/2011

I am very glad I found this salon. It is very close to my neighborhood, which is how I stumbled upon it, but I would continue to go even if it were far away. It is tiny, but just the right size and has a wonderful, cozy (yet sophisticated) feel. The organic products and tips the staff has given me have really helped my hair to grow and heal over the last year + (I have somewhat dry, damaged, frizzy hair by both nature and circumstance). Ashraf, Vincent, Rada, Marina - they're all top notch and I'd recommend any of them. You can't go wrong here! more

Wonderful experience 1/27/2011

After looking for the best organic hair salon in google I found Le Salon. It was my first time there and definitely I will be going back from now on. I used to do japanese straightening every year since 2005 and dye my hair black for more than 15 years, the condition of my hair was not the best. Vincent at Le Salon is GREAT !!! my hair is medium brown now and looks very healthy. While I was there I was enjoying wine, cheese and coffee.The service and the attention was WONDERFUL. The products that they use are amazing. more

A wonderful salon experience 1/14/2011

I was in search of non-ammonia, organic haircolor and found Le Salon. I was warmly greeted by Ashraf and Vincent. Though the salon is quite small, and two or three clients can make it seem busy, the staff know how to keep the salon calm and relaxing. As for the service, a good single process by Vincent and excellent styling by Ashraf (who is a talented professional) were the results! more

Service with a personal touch. I have been a customer of Ashraf's for over 20 years and I have found my experience to be very satisfying. When I have issues, Ashraf is very accommodating and willing to work with me. I always have compliments on the results. Just give yourself enough time because she doesn't rush you out. The employees are very friendly and Ashraf is definitely a character worth getting to know and do business with. I also want to mention how professional and knowlegeable Marina is in hair coloring. She's pleasant and looks out for your best interest without being pushy. Rada is friendly and down to earth and is a pleasure. more

Love this organic salon! 12/29/2010

I found Le Salon after searching online for a NYC salon that uses organic hair color. It's right in midtown so I decided to give it a try. So glad I did! I love Le Salon and here are some of the reasons why: * The organic hair color doesn't irritate my scalp like chemical hair colors. It actually feels soothing. * My color is so beautiful! (Thank you Vincent) * My hair feels silky and healthy like a child's hair - not like colored hair * My haircut by Ashraf is fantastic! Everyone in my office commented on it - even the programmers - so unusual :) * The prices are really reasonable * The hair rinse chair is a massage chair * There is no chemical smell in the salon * The wine that they offer is actually really good :) * The hair products they sell are organic, gentle, work great and last for a long time (I haven't used up the products that I bought in September.) * It's a small, beautifully designed, calm and comfortable space. more

Beautiful color job and styling, friendly atmosphere 12/8/2010

I went to Le Salon a few weeks ago to get my hair colored for the first time. I had been thinking about it for a while, to cover up some grays but refused to use mainstream nasty chemical products on my head. I was excited to find out about Le Salon's organic, cleaner hair color products through the Internet. I came in and shared some ideas with Vincent, but told him I really wasn't sure because whatever he would do had to match my face and coloring. Vincent picked out a dark brown that matched my hair color very well and then put in copper colored, I think it's called honey, highlights. I had done a lot of research online, and it was cool to see him do the baliage, free-hand highlight technique. Vincent was a lot of fun, and I love the color he did, it looks awesome. Rada also helped out during the shampooing, single process and styling. She did a great job and is very cool. Ashraf, the owner, is very warm and friendly and gave me a lot of great tips on cool updos and hair styling. I came back last week to have a shampoo and blowdry. Ashraf did the styling, and my hair looked gorgeous! I got a lot of positive comments about my beautiful hair that night. Le Salon provides a very comfortable, friendly atmosphere, and the people are very good at what they do. It has been a pleasure to go to this salon twice in less than a month :) more

On a beautiful summer morning I luckily passed by Le Salon and asked if they could by some chance color and cut my hair on that day. Since I am from Massachusetts it would be hard for me to return on another day. They graciously accommodated my needs. I felt comfortable and at home immediately. I received the best coloring and cut that I ever had. The organic products they use have made my hair much healthier. Let's put it this way...every six weeks I take a train from Massachusetts to get my hair colored and cut at Le Salon. Ashraf and Marina are professional, talented and simply wonderful. more

Le Salon - Hair to love 8/21/2010

In searching for a healthy place to have my hair done, I came to Le Salon as my place of choice for everything hair. The ambiance is very friendly and one is pampered throughout all processes. I was advised by the highly professional owner of the salon to a color that I totally love. The person coloring my hair is a total pro at what she is doing and together with a great cut I am ready to go! I highly recommend this salon if you want healthy and beautiful hair! more

I just had my hair done at Le Salon for the first time last night and couldn't wait to write a review. I chose the salon because it was relatively close to my office and got fantastic reviews and I'm SO happy I did! When you walk in you are warmly greeted and automatically feel comfortable and at ease. The environment is welcoming, modern and clean. I haven't dyed or highlighted my hair in several years but I knew my dull brown needed something. Marina knew exactly what I meant when I said I didn't want a drastic change but wanted a ""warmer"" look. She did the most amazing blend of medium blonde & light brown highlights and an overall lighter brown color. It looks totally natural and gave my hair such texture, it's incredible! Best of all, she did most of the highlights underneath so that it's low-maintenance and will easily grow out if I change my mind (which I won't)! It doesn't hurt that she's really funny and a pleasure to chat with. The cut by Ashraf is by FAR the best haircut I've ever had in my life. I have very fine, straight hair but it tends to get heavy and flat. Not anymore! After the first cut I could automatically tell how different it laid and was MUCH improved! You can really tell the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut after going to Ashraf! I will never go anywhere else because not only is she talented, but she is a riot too! Coming from someone who isn't really into ""hair maintenance"" take it from me that this is a great experience! Everyone at Le Salon is very well informed and professional, they really know their stuff! I am already going to book an appointment to go back and this time I'm bringing my mom and sister. You will never leave a salon more pleased with your hair or the experience you had! This place is THE best! Pros: Wonderful atmosphere, great products, amazing color & cut more
