Good pizza, nice patio 6/20/2002

I've only been here for lunch, but I've always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The service is friendly and prompt, even when it's packed. Pizzas are the best bet and the sandwiches are pretty tasty, too. Salads are fairly standard; not much to brag about. The patio is a prime spot on nice days and I suspect evenings. • The Scene
Nestled in what used to be boiler space of the Boston and Newhouse buildings, the Lazy Moon boasts an eclectic clientele, sports on TV and live music nearly every night. Its Exchange Place location, an inviting outdoor patio and three smallish stories are welcoming; exposed brick and indoor pipes give the whole place a lived-in, smoky feel.

    The Food
Putting a spin on the usual pub fare, the Lazy Moon's updated menu features basic burgers and sandwiches, salads, wings, and pizzas. Most are served with a twist and named after musical phrases, like the Phat Beat, a heartstopping grilled Philly beef, cheese and onion sandwich on a hoagie. Another sandwich, Disco Fever Baby, is the Lazy Moon's version of the classic BLT. Everything is well-cooked and seemingly homemade, and the pub's fries--crisp and slightly burnt--are perfect to quaff beer with.
