Laurel Seafood Restaurant

The owner's wife passed away a few years ago . I think it was too much for him and he closed the store. He now spends time with his daughters & Familys. I worked there for about 2 years when I was younger, and they were very nice people and hard workers. The seadfood was always fresh. Going to miss that store !! more

Having been to most other seafood restaurants in the south jersey area, my friend and I decided to try Laurel Seafood out. This place more than exceeded our expectations. I had amazing stuffed shrimp and my friend got the Lobster Bisque that was recommended in the first post about this place. The service was prompt and friendly and the final bill was under $20 (we brought our own wine). For a seafood BYOB with good food for a great price I will be recommending this place to friends. This is a little family-owned BYOB seafood restaurant, which also has a seafood market. I live in the suburbs of Philly (on the PA side), but I love traveling to NJ just for the fantastic menu. LS offers a pretty extensive yet basic seafood menu with a few options for those who are not in the fishy mood. The prices are incredible and the dishes are quite large. Even better is the friendly service. You can tell the restaurant is established and very community oriented. Often on a Friday or Saturday night, you hear customers talking amongst other tables and with the owner or his daughters. \r \r I take many out-of-town guests to Laurel Seafood when they are looking for a quality meal and service, and no one has left unhappy. \r \r All first-time goers MUST try the Lobster Bisque!
