Best

We had a great room with a huge plasma TV and another TV built into the mirror it the bathroom. It was new and clean. We had a great time at Flamingo. Pros: location Cons: ...

Worst

I was at this hotel for my son's wedding- what a rip-off! The rooms were nothing more than you can get at any Best Western and it was the very most I've ever spent for a room! Fu...

Check out the Pool 7/8/2004

The pool here at Flamingo is the best I've ever been to. I've stayed at about a dozen hotels in Vegas and this is the best pool. It's just a lush, tropical setting the shade just falls in the right places. The rooms are okay. Nothing spectacular. This hotel is one of the "older" ones on the Strip, but not bad. Pros: pOOl, PoOL, PooL more

Worth the Stay 12/6/2003

I've been told by a friend who has stayed here over the years that the hotel is in a decline, but she took me here and I've stayed several times since. Everything is average and I have to agree that for the most part the front desk staff needs a lesson in customer service. BUT you cannot beat the value when it comes to location and the pool. Not only that I have had nothing but incredibly friendly service from the casino and bar staffs and was treated VERY well when I slipped on a spilled drink in the casino. more

Don't stay at the Flamingo 9/14/2003

I have stayed at many hotels on the strip and I would never stay at the Flamingo again. The front desk was unfriendly. I asked for a good view and did not get one. The smoking rooms don't have good ventilation. There were dirty glasses, trays and garbage in all of the halls and elevators. The garbage sat there for hours. There were even broken glasses on the floor. The pool was crowded, there was no place to sit and the water looked horrible. I didn't even want to swim. The lifeguards were rude. The room and bathroom were not clean (the shower curtain was moldy). The only good thing is that it is centrally located. I would rather stay somewhere else and walk though. Pros: Location Cons: Dirty, Rude more

An Oasis in the Desert! 6/30/2003

The Flamingo is one of the best resorts in Las Vegas. If youre looking for a great resort at a great price then I recommend staying here. It is centrally located and within walking distance to everything the strip has to offer. Their lagoon pool is consistently rated the best pool is Las Vegas and definitely lives up to its reputation. Check in can take around 30 min., but thats to be expected at any Las Vegas hotel. The staff was friendly and upon my request, was able to give me a room on a high floor with an unobstructed view of the Bellagio fountains. The rooms are tastefully decorated and feature floor to ceiling windows that offer panoramic views. The 15-acre property offers a delightful penguin and flamingo habitat as well as lush tropical scenery and waterfalls. The Flamingo is definitely an oasis in the desert! Pros: Great Price, Centrally Located, Great Views more

Not bad... 1/15/2003

Clean but boring rooms. Great view of Caesars if you can get it. Food is so-so, casino is looking worn, but the pool is excellent, and you can see live Penguins!!! BTW -- If you like Long Island's, don't stay here, 2nd worst on the strip. The only one that is worse is Bally's. more

one of the worst Las Vegas hotel 1/9/2003

I've spent several of my vacations in Las Vegas and this time in 'Flamingo' was the worst ever. People working on the check-in counter were very unfriendly and unpleasant. Dirty, left-over glasses and ash trays were all over the Casino and even in the elevator. I would Never ever go back to 'Flamingo' again. Certainly not recommendable, either. more

worst service! 1/9/2003

Worst service in Las Vegas!!! 'Flamingo' has the worst service in Las Vegas. Check -in counter ladies were unpleasant. dirty, unpleasant, unfriendly..... more

IN THE PINK AT THE FLAMINGO 11/13/2002

STAYED AT THE FLAMINGO TWO YRS IN A ROW AND WOULD NEVER STAY ANYWHERE ELSE. BOTH TIMES OUR VIEW WAS GREAT. YOUCOULD GET OFF OF THE ELEVATOR AND JUST A SHORT WALK TO EITHER THE CASINO OR ONE OF THE RESTAURANTS OR THE POOL OR TO THE MAIN STREET. AT MOST OF THE LARGER HOTELS YOU HAVE TO WALK FOR 20 MINUTES BEFORE GETTING TO YOUR DESTINATION. GREAT VALUE TOO. Pros: GOOD LOCATION, CLEAN more

I was in Las vegas in September and i stayed at the flamingo. I thought it was a great hotel. The pools were excellent and entertaining for children. I would definatly recommend the Flamingo more

Okay location 8/4/2002

We stayed there for 3 nights in June. Found a great deal thru Travel Worm which allowed a Saturday check in. The 1st room had a broken closet,we were then moved to another much nicer room with a fantastic view. The room was clean & well stocked. Service was excellent. Good value for the $$. Pros: good price Cons: older hotel more

Worth it 7/23/2002

My boyfriend and I stayed her in May and I have to say that even though it isn't on the strip, this hotel makes it up in more ways than one. It is clean, the rooms are beautiful and staff very nice. I would definitely stay here again. Pros: Clean, Pretty, Good service Cons: off the strip more

It's a Hotel, we have to give it that 7/11/2002

Just stayed at the Flamingo for 3 nights- you can tell this is an older hotel that has been expanded when it seems like you walk a mile from the elevator all the way around the U shaped building to your room. Large, nice pool, but it fills up quickly and the security doesn't care if one person reserves 12 chairs... even if they're unused for 4+ hours. But, it's a clean room at a good price and you can't beat the location. Pros: inexpensive, centrally located Cons: thin walls, long hallways more

Not the wrost hotel 7/10/2002

I went to the Flamingo thinking it would not be the best place to stay in. The hotel turned out to be ok. The pool area with the flamingo's is the best part of the hotel. The waterfalls and the slides are great for anyone, and the margarita's are huge!!! The rooms are decent and the hotel is not far from the strip at all. If you looking to save some money then I recommend the Flamingo. more

Love the penguins 5/15/2002

If you're traveling with small children, the Flamingo is a good place to stay on the Strip. It's centrally located, the rooms are decent (big, but outdated decor), and the swimming pools are nice. The best part, though, is the adorable penguin exhibit. Kids can sit and watch 'em dive in and out of the water for a good 20 mintues, which is just enough time to lose a roll of quarters. Pros: affordable Cons: ugly bathrooms more
