I was at this hotel for my son's wedding- what a rip-off! The rooms were nothing more than you can get at any Best Western and it was the very most I've ever spent for a room! Fu...

Editorial review from Citysearch 2/16/2014

Pink. Pink. And more pink. I stayed here once while coming across country. I was able to sneak my cat in which was cool. But man this place is old and pink. I'd go somewhere else next time. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 2/7/2014

First time at the flamingo. Got the Go Deluxe room here. The room seems newly renovated and trendy. They first gave us a handy cap extensible room which we didn't like. However they changed the room for us. more

Great if you're not interested in being flashy! 1/8/2012

Right across from Cesars this is the place to stay if you don't want to, (or dont need to ) woo anyone for the night. It is inexpensive yet still in the middle of all the action. Great place to freak or just do your thing. more

Gets You to the Heart of Vegas 6/7/2011

This place is not the Belagio or The Wynn but is still really nice, a good value and puts you right in the center of the action so you can enjoy the best of whats around. Our room was very nice and the service was great. We also loved the $5 blackjack tables because you can't find many of those around these days. more

Flamingo is an oldie but a goodie 4/3/2011

It seems appropriate that the Flamingo Las Vegas is a direct descendant of the hotel where modern Vegas began. Benjamin ""Bugsy"" Siegel's original Flamingo is gone, but the hotel that bears the name continues to live up to its name. more

Love the Animals! 1/5/2009

Flamingo is a nice interactive hotel and casino, but which one isn't. They all seem to offer something but the Flamingo is special. They have actual flamingos on the property for people to watch and kids to gain a sense of excitement. The service is wonderful, rooms are clean and spacious, the view is okay (depending on what side your room is located on). Overall the wildlife theme is very cool, and the experience of staying there is worth your time. more

Stay away unless you've lots of money..... 10/1/2007

I was at this hotel for my son's wedding- what a rip-off! The rooms were nothing more than you can get at any Best Western and it was the very most I've ever spent for a room! Further I had hair & Makeup done in the Salon and it cost $300.00-for a simple updo & makeup. I will never go bacxk and I will tell everyone who'll listen to stay away!!! Pros: None Cons: Over priced for bare room quality! more

Worst Hotel On The Strip, Extremely Poor Customer Service, Rude Managers 12/25/2006

My husband and I have stayed at multiple hotels on the Las Vegas Strip and have never been treated as poorly as we were at the Flamingo. First, they overcharge their guest at the airport for the ?convenience? of charging the shuttle tickets to your room. The normal cost per a person is $10.50, round trip. The Flamingo charges you $14.00. We called the front desk to inquire about the $3.50 service charge per a person and was told these options are explained at the airport, which they were not. When we arrived at our room, there was dirty water in the bathroom sink and water on the counter. We tried to release the sink stopper but it was stuck. We immediately called room maintenance, was reassured an engineer would fix it, and left our room. Six hours later, we retuned to our room and the dirty water was still in the sink. We called again and waited, an hour later, the sink was not fixed. We called again, waited, and finally went downstairs to complain in person. The front desk agent retrieved the manager who was unsympathetic to our room conditions. At this time, we wanted to change rooms, and did not feel that compensation to an upgrade was unreasonable. He refused to change us even to a lateral room. We asked about an upgrade. He refused to grant it without charging us for both rooms. He said we had been on our room for six hours and he would be glad to check us out without charging us the early departure fees. Thirty minutes later, we complained to another desk clerk. They agreed to upgrade our room for an additional $20.00 per a night. We agreed but they charged us $27.00 per a night. We have experienced problems with rooms at other hotels, in the past and they have always gladly upgraded our room and jumped at the opportunity to fix the situation. There are to many hotels on the strip that offer better value and customer service than the Flamingo. This hotel is clearly not looking for a repeat customer. I will not stay there or any Harrah?s property. more

great hotel, newly updated rooms 11/23/2006

We had a great room with a huge plasma TV and another TV built into the mirror it the bathroom. It was new and clean. We had a great time at Flamingo. Pros: location Cons: rooms are a bit small, but fine for 2 more

Great pool 11/21/2006

I have stayed at this hotel quite a bit. It is a nice hotel I would say above average. The rooms are affordable, the location is good, and they have a really great pool which is enjoyable in the hot summer months. Pros: great location, great pool more

good location 11/15/2006

The best part about this hotel is the location, and you can sometimes find great deals. Pool is pretty good, too. The cons are that the lobby has low ceilings and feels claustrophobic, check-in takes forever, and the place is overrun with kids. The pros generally weigh out the cons, though, and I'll continue to come back as long as the price is right. more

Great value 11/15/2006

This hotel is a great value. It is in the middle of the strip and close to everything. If you want to be close and have a good time for a good price this is the hotel. Really how long do you stay in your hotel. Pros: great value Cons: smokey more

Just Right! 11/7/2006

Granted it's been 5 years since I stayed here; but at the time, the hotel was the perfect mix of Vegas old-school style (flamingos!!) and modern amenities. The rooms were a good size and clean. But the location!! It's in the heart of the strip. You couldn't ask for a better spot! Pros: location, cleanliness, room size Cons: slow service, slow elevators more

great hotel 11/3/2006

Flamingo was a great hotel. Located near everything going to Veags. Service, restaurants, and casino was great. Pros: thumbs up Cons: none more

great value and location 11/2/2006

The Flamingo is your standard hotel. Its clean, beds are decent and the rooms service is average. They have a great location and their casino is easy to get around in and affordable. table games aren't excessive and I actually won on their slot machines. Its a great value. If you aren't looking for all the "fluff" its a good place to stay. Pros: Great location more

Great Location, Crazy Good (and cheap) Room Service, Clean + Updated Rooms 7/24/2006

Raves: For the price, I can't imagine you can do better than the Flamingo. Unlike the Trop, which reeks of coconut air freshner and pines for it's glory days, Flamingo has kept up with the times. The entire casino is clean and bright. Limited game selection, but there are other places to play. Pool is AMAZING as are the gounds (lush, penguins, great bars). Rooms are clean and updated. Comfortable beds. We lucked out and got a strip view-floor to celing windows looking out onto the bohemeth that is Ceaser's Palace. Room service is a trip. Unlike most hotels that charge exorbatant fees, you pay what you see on the menu plusa 15% gratuity. No service charge. And the prices are reasonable. Big time. I've never before been so pleased with room service. I wouldn't call it gourmet, but it's tasty and quick. Oh, and the hotel has a shuttle stop so no need to drag your hung-over self out into the 110 degree heat. Rants: Very few. Check in took a while, but it was a holiday weekend. No Poker room. more

GOT TO LOVE THE POOL AT THE FLAMINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 7/17/2006

My husband and I went there this past June (2006) to get married and stayed at the hotel, we both enjoyed the hotel, I especially enjoyed the pool. The rooms were clean & the maids were good at getting your room done while gone. The price of water that they had in room was ridiculous & the pop machine at the hotel was out of water the whole time we were there (the first day had water but the other 5days none) and it was cheaper to get from the machine. I would recommend this hotel & when we go back definently trying to stay there. Pros: Pool, cleanliness of rooms, staff friendly more

Will stay again 3/28/2006

We stayed at the Flamingo twice last summer, the pool was fantastic! They have a water slide that is entertaining for children and adults. Great pool-side drinks. The service was always friendly. The only problem I saw was the remains of room service scattered throughout the halls. The rooms were clean, but not spacious. The location is key. Yes there should be coffee makers in the rooms, but I have yet to find that in any hotel in Vegas. Pros: Pool, Penguins, locatio Cons: dirty more

User review by julesf402 12/18/2005

My boyfriend an I stayed here for his birthday. I think it was a good value for the cost. The room was spacious, clean, and not tackily decorated. The animal conservatory is not huge, but it is free unlike most hotel attractions in Vegas. We were here in the winter so we couldn't go swimming, but our view overlooked the pool and it was amazing. The champagne brunch buffet was pretty good. The breakfast and desserts were the best part. There were pretty long lines to check in and out. And the shower had very low water pressure, but overall I would stay here again. The center of the strip locale is great! Pros: Pool, Animal Conservatory Cons: Low shower pressure more

Great Experiences for 3 years at the Flamingo 12/13/2005

Wife and I have been staying at the Flamingo for the past 3 years in August (for the SWA golf tournament) and in December after NFR. We have always experienced great accommodations, friendly staff in all areas of the property, and enjoy staying in the center of the strip. Pros: Reasonable cost, Easy in & out, Peronal service Cons: none so far more
