Las Margaritas has quite the potential to serve wonderful food. On occasion, they really do fill your stomach with great food, but it is so hit or miss that it cannot be trusted. more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!! 10/25/2010

I first came to this place with my girlfriends. I dont know how we stumbled upon it but the margaritas had us hooked. That, the great food, the beautiful staff (they all are adorable). I have gone back time and time again (at least once a month) either on dates, out with friends, or even out with my family. The service is great the drinks are great and the food is tasty and priced perfectly. The atmosphere is cozy and there are enough quiet corners to have an intimate meal with someone you care about or sit out on the patio and listen to the dj. I cant say enough about this place. It is my go-to place if I want to feel good. I never regret going there. more

PLEASE DO NOT BOTHER TO VISIT LAS MARGARITAS!!! 8/22/2010

I visited this restaurant yesterday and I was extremely disappointed with food, service and environment. I had the paella which supposed to be one of the best dishes of the place...... WRONG IT WASN?T, not to mention the prices it?s not worth the money at all... Also the manager or owner was next to us with a computer as it was her office and she was jailing an employed how awkward......... I would never come back to this restaurant you can have a much better food at somewhere else for much less.... do not bother to visit this place!!!!! more

Good service, mediocre food/drinks 4/23/2009

I was excited to go to this restaurant after all the good reviews I had seen. Needless to say, I was very disappointed by the actual experience. My boyfriend and I sat outside on the patio, which was nice and large, but the chairs were pretty cheap and the table was very rickety (we kept spilling a little bit of our drinks every time we touched the table). Pros: Attentive service Cons: Food more

Great Mexican- Latin American restaurant! 12/29/2008

On a Sunday and after I had won a tennis tournament, my boyfriend and I searched aimlessly for a Mexican-like restaurant. After scouring Buford highway and strangely going into a couple places whose prices were crazily expensive (I am talking like $40 appetizers... It was weird!), we came across cute Las Margaritas! It has a patio that is heated in the winter, and an inside that is decorated with a Latin American like bright and bubbly vibe. This place has a charm that you don't find in many restaurants. Pros: Great food! Great prices! Great atmosphere!.. What more could you ask?! Cons: Nada yet. more

Highly reccommended! 9/6/2008

I've been to Las Margaritas several times, and so far, I can't say enough good things about them. I've suggested it to my friends a number of times when we're going out, and had my sister's surprise birthday party there. When you do that, since you suggested the place, if things go badly, you kind of feel like a schmuck. Instead, everything went perfectly, and every time, Las Margaritas staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. Great for groups and they also have theme nights. Pros: Good food, great staff, very good portions and value for the price, fantatic mojitos. Cons: Parking can get kind of interesting, not all of the entrees are winners. more

best margarita's 9/5/2008

This is a great place. Our waiter Ceasor is the best. We love him so much we visit 2 or 3 times a month. If you want to get your drink on please go check this place out! The food is also good and they give a good portion. Pros: great value Cons: dark restroom more

Fun Lunch Experience 7/6/2008

Fast, Friendly restaurant!!! My better half and I were in search of authentic mexican, and we just chose it by sheer accident. The staff was friendly, attentive, the food was relatively fresh, and tasted really good. if you like hot sauce have the kitchen hook you up with some fresh habanero it will bring the heat!! The margaritas were tasty and worth having a few!! The atmosphere is fun and casual and the menu is creative and reasonably priced! Bathrooms are really dark, very dim lighting! Don't have too many ritas before going in there!! All and all a fun dining experience we both agree that it's a place we will visit again!! It's really worth checking out! Oh and be sure to try the queso it's wonderful!! Pros: fun atmosphere, Great watering hole, good food Cons: Creative parking, dark bathrooms more

Great Food 6/22/2008

Las Margaritas is your typical Mexican food with a few yummy surprises. I enjoy their margaritas, but agree that they are nothing special. They do have $2 tapas on Tuesday which is great for groups and an excellent deal. The Yucca Potatoes are a must try. As far as service, I had a great waiter on my birthday who was pouring Patron down my throat and shaking my head up, but at about 3:00 last Sunday, our waiter seemed kind of out of it. Our glasses went empty several times even though he only had one other table. It's worth trying though! Pros: food, atmosphere, $2 Tapas Cons: service has been so so, parking is tight more

This place is a joke! 5/6/2008

I've consistently received poor service here over the time period that the new owner has been in charge. The food is ok. For a place with ""margarita"" in the name, their standard 'rita is boring. Last night (Cinco de Mayo) was definitely my last. Called earlier in the day and was told I wouldn't need a reservation for 2 people and they only made reservations for 8 or more. Got there at 7 and faced an hour wait - which wouldn't be terrible with enough 'rita. Stood and sat at the bar for over 20 minutes before being helped - although we were acknowledged. Then the guy made a 'rita but forgot to bring my friends beer. He was totally flustered, while he had another person in the bar taking care of the people at the tables. Pros: Fun and cute atmosphere. Pretty good food. Cons: Horrible service. Boring margaritas. Horrible service. more

The Staff Makes This Restaraunt 2/12/2008

The servers here offer such a great personal attention to every table. I am greeted with a smile everytime I enter Las Margaritas. I have noticed lately the new manager really works hard to keep the customers happy. The food is good - the atmosphere is a party - and the staff is fun (not to mention cute!) more

relaxing during the week / party on Fri & Sat nites 10/28/2007

If you're looking for a traditional restaurant experience on a Friday or Saturday night, you will NOT find it here. Las Margaritas is actually a very good restaurant, but on weekend nights, it basically turns into a nightclub, which is fun if you know to expect it or if you can go with the flow. We usually go on Tuesdays for $2 tapas and on Sundays for brunch, and we get a great leisure restaurant experience with charming waiters who chat us up. It's very relaxing. We went on a Friday night recently and it was a fiesta! A real party. The owner sent over shots of tequila. The music is festive and cranked up loud. It's a blast. We had a great time. But if you want a quiet, sit down dinner on a weekend night, this ain't it. That said, I should clarify that there are a lot of dining establishments in Atlanta that are really just bars posing as restaurants, serving mediocre food at high prices. At first glance, you might think this is one of them. It's not. The food is really quite good and the menu is eclectic. We especially love the Puerto Rican cerviche on their tapas menu, which is normally $5, but on Tuesdays they offer it for only $2. That's an incredible deal. We usually order two for each of us! Whenever we've gone there, I've liked this place. It's very gay and we appreciate that; everyone is welcome and we always feel comfortable. So to recap: relaxing during the week and for Sunday brunch; party-house on Friday and Saturday nights. Choose accordingly! Pros: eclectic menu, delicious food Cons: parking is tight more
