If you're looking for a traditional restaurant experience on a Friday or Saturday night, you will NOT find it here. Las Margaritas is actually a very good restaurant, but on weekend nights, it basically turns into a nightclub, which is fun if you know to expect it or if you can go with the flow. We usually go on Tuesdays for $2 tapas and on Sundays for brunch, and we get a great leisure restaurant experience with charming waiters who chat us up. It's very relaxing. We went on a Friday night recently and it was a fiesta! A real party. The owner sent over shots of tequila. The music is festive and cranked up loud. It's a blast. We had a great time. But if you want a quiet, sit down dinner on a weekend night, this ain't it. That said, I should clarify that there are a lot of dining establishments in Atlanta that are really just bars posing as restaurants, serving mediocre food at high prices. At first glance, you might think this is one of them. It's not. The food is really quite good and the menu is eclectic. We especially love the Puerto Rican cerviche on their tapas menu, which is normally $5, but on Tuesdays they offer it for only $2. That's an incredible deal. We usually order two for each of us! Whenever we've gone there, I've liked this place. It's very gay and we appreciate that; everyone is welcome and we always feel comfortable. So to recap: relaxing during the week and for Sunday brunch; party-house on Friday and Saturday nights. Choose accordingly!
Pros: eclectic menu, delicious food
Cons: parking is tight
