Larada's Army Surplus CLOSED PERMANETLY January 2009. Prior to its closing it was sold by the original owners of 38 years in 2006. The Manager of Larada's for the last 20 years under the original ownership is also the daughter of the owners. In 2005 she left her parents to open and run Freedom Military Surplus in Mesa just 4 miles east of Larada's on Main Street. If you were use to the original Larada's store, it's products and excellent service then you will love Freedom Military Surplus. They just don't make them like this anymore! All of the old fashioned comforts of the past along with great new styles & fashions. The folks at Larada's have been there for like 40 years and they do a great job of always having fun stuff to look at, play with and buy. Hey, they even carry airsoft guns and paintball supplies! Pros: Anyone who grew up near on of these places will be flooded with memories! Cons: None! more
