Authentic Thai Restaurant 3/9/2011

Lantern is a fantastic Thai Restaurant in Gramercy that is VERY reasonably priced. Each time I come in they have different specials and you can't beat 2 for 1 happy hours with 15% off entree's. Only problem is it's only until 6 pm but more specials are available after. If you can't make it in time they offer a pre-fixed 4 course meal (2 apps, 1 entree, and 1 dessert) with a large selection to choose from for around 20 bucks (can't quite remember the exact price). Awesome deal! more

Unique Fresh Thai food. Very tough to find in this city at an affordable price. Decor is nice and the staff is efficient...great service. Like the review below it makes you feel like your in Thailand ...been there before :). Can't wait to go back! more

Great spot. The food is great and the inside makes you feel like you are in Thailand. The staff is friendly and the service is always on point. Little small but the set up makes it easy to accomodate parties. more

Nice Spot...Good Food 10/20/2009

I really enjoy coming here, especially for lunch. They have a great deal on there menu. I gave 5 stars because not all places cater to little kids and they provided high chairs, crayons, paper and plastic cups for my 2 little ones. A really nice neighborhood place. And the food is pretty good. Pros: Decor and Kid Friendly more

An image of Sukothai adorns the wall and trees with gentle lighting and golden leaves provide a soothing and sophisticated ambiance. In the kitchen, each dish is thoughtfully created and prepared, from the sauces and curries to weekly specials that give Chef Siripat Khangkarn the opportunity to create unique dishes incorporating traditional spices such as basil, lemongrass and tamarind that move the pallet beyond the ordinary. Conveniently located near Union Square and Gramercy Park, Lantern Thai Kitchen is open from 11:30-11:30 every day with brunch specials available Sat-Sun.
