Lalibela Restaurant

Having driven over a hundred miles to get to Lalibela Restaurant I was hoping this would be a great experience. I was not disappointed. The proprietor is a quiet but hospitable host. The food was perfection. The spongy bread called injira was just what I had been looking for and the various dishes served on a platter of the injira were perfection. A nice mixture of spices and textures. While I lunched alone this time, I hope to bring others next time as the nature of dining on Ethiopian food is communal where everyone shares from the platters of food. You can even get Ethiopian beers if you want to try an exotic brew or two. This little restaurant is a treasure. Ethiopian restaurants are hard to find in the U.S., so give them a try to keep this treasure in Sioux Falls. I know that I will be back as often as I can. more

Alright you South Dakotans get out and try something different. This stuff is really good. Grab a group of friends and share some dishes. This is totally a group place but it is also great for a quick lunch too. Don't be afraid as they are very willing to assist with instructions and they have printed instructions on how to eat the meal. The flavor that I sampled was very good and not too hot. Don't ask me to remember what the name of the dish I had but it had beef and peppers. yum more
