I'm writing to you to tell you how much we have enjoyed the Tai Lai Restaurant in downtown Kirkland. We've been loyal customers since the restaurant opened almost eight years ago...

Worst

Okay, so upon recommendation of a couple friends, we went here for dinner. It's not the worst Thai food I've had but I've definitely had better. They make their dishes too sweet...

Cozy little place 5/5/2009

It's a small little restaurant with a fairly good menu. The portion sizes were a little small if you wanted to do family-style, but the food was quite good. I would go here again, but only if I'm not super hungry. more

Tasty but too little 4/23/2009

We ordered family style - Pad Thai, Heavenly Beef, Curry, Eggplant and Broccoli Beef, and then some rice. Portions were really small, smaller than other Thai places I've been. Taste was pretty good! I'd say comparable to other Thai places. You gotta try their desserts though, Mango and Sticky rice and then this Black sticky rice with pudding. Those were delicious. Store isn't too busy at night, no need for reservation. Service is decent, not too great, not too bad. Located in a nice area, good to stroll around with bars and other restaurants near by. more

Best Thai I've had. 5/6/2006

It's always puzzling to me that this place is consistently empty. My Mom lives in Kirkland, so when we're in the mood for Thai, this is where we go. Since it's almost always empty, service is fast. The food is excellent. We always get the same thing, and it's always great. Prices are very reasonable, too. I read somewhere (Citysearch maybe?) that this is the #1 Thai place on the Eastside. I believe it! more

Good Thai, no negatives 8/10/2005

I think I liked this place a little better than City Thai. It might have been the food, it might have been the atmosphere (sitting on the street on a sunny day). more
