Lovely dining experience. 9/14/2009

I recently had Sunday brunch at La Villa Restaurant-Philbrook. It was much much better than I expected. In addition to the normal breakfast fare (sausage, bacon, biscuits & gravy, pastries, waffles, grits, potatoes, eggs, etc.) they served oysters on the half shell, mussels, Salmon, a wonderful array of cheeses, several salads, Omelets made to order, prime rib, huevos rancheros, roasted vegetables, and a large variety of desserts. The chocolate pie was fabulous! Didn't expect it to be that good. And the setting is, of course, unmatched. Pros: Great food, Great atmosphere more

Dissatisfied 7/6/2008

Beautiful setting. Reservations are required and were made 5 days in advance and confirmed for Sunday brunch to celebrate Mother's birthday, However, upon arrival hostess could not find reservations even though I mention to her the exact time and day the reservations were made. The hostess was rather indifferent and did not offer any options such as setting up another table for four as there was plenty of room. more

The Philbrook Museum of Art is one of Tulsa's gems. Located in the mansion of oil baron Waite Phillips, which is itself a work of art, the Philbrook Museum houses a world-class art collection located in one of Tulsa's most beautiful neighborhoods, nestled in an estate of incomporable beauty. It is only fitting that Philbrook should house an outstanding restaurant, LaVilla Restaurant. Pros: Beautiful setting, good gift shop, excellent restaurant Cons: Can be hard to find if you're not familiar with with Tulsa. more
