La Petite Academy

I have nothing but great things to say about La Petite Academy. My 4 year old has been going there since she was 8 weeks old and my 11 year son went there until he was 10. My son is in the top of his class and I owe it all to La Petite's curriculum. I have heard that from several parents whose children attended La Petite here and in Aurora. They have wonderful staff and very little turn over. The Director, Brandi, runs a great school and I have had no problems with her or the teachers. I would highly recommend this La Petite to anyone looking for a safe and strong academic learning environment. more

This facility is poorly run and the Director is unable to ensure that policies are followed. They put hand lotion on my child's bleeding diaper rash (caused because they didn't change him for 3 hours despite my instructions to change every hour). They then tried to hide that he was bleeding by scratching out the teacher's note about it off of his log and the director said he wasn't bleeding despite the fact that when I got him home he had blood in his diaper. They applied diaper cream without required authorization. I have caught them twice violating the state ratios (7:1 and 10:1 days later). The have falsified his daily log regarding diaper changes, bleeding and who knows what else. I did a surprise visit and he hadn't been changed in more than 2 hours (their policy and my instructions). I brought this up, left and returned 15 minutes later and his log mysteriously said he was changed while I was there, which was false. My Son has been going there since he was 6 weeks old. He loves going there everyday. I was laid off in July and they were wonderful in helping me. The whole time we stayed hime my son kept asking go go to school. All the teachers there are wonderful from Infint to pre school. My son comes home knowing alsorts of new thinks like colors and animals it was amazing the teaching they have done. They do loose paperwork often so keep a copy for yourself. But that is a small price to pay to know that my son is safe and happy :) more
