Wonderful as always. Nice to have delivery as an option (although a little pricey for delivery) more

Just as yummy as the restaurant, only more convenient. Only drawback: the warm food melts the cheese all over the fruit. Otherwise, yum! more

Real Mediterranean Food 10/10/2011

One of the few Mediterranean joints that actually serves food close to authentic dishes. I am not saying they are just like your mom's or friend's mom's homemade dishes... But they are as close as you are going to get. more

Not That good 3/17/2011

I heard so much about them so I decided to give them a try... I have to say I was disappointed. the food was not that good, mixer of sweet and savory that didn't really set very good in my mouth. Also the prices wayyyy to expensive. one time was enough for me. more

Great Food 11/15/2010

I was taken here by one of my friend and I am in so love with this restaurant, I go there once in a week now. more

gooood 1/11/2009

This place is always lively and nice spot to go to for someone's birthday. Try their dolmas and their cinnamon chicken. Their deserts are so good. Expect a wait. more

Good Mediterranian Food 1/2/2009

La Mediterranee has excellent food and it's healthy too. I especially love their avgolmeno chicken and rice with lemon soup. Their fillo rolls stuffed with cheese and/or chicken are delicious. more

Decent food, nice patio 10/11/2007

I would say the food and service here is just average. It's not too expensive, so I'd say it's a decent value.\r \r They're pretty busy on weekends and even some week nights. The street side patio has a nice atmosphere and they have heaters to make it a bit more comfortable in the fall and winter.\r \r I especially like the kebabs.\r \r A nice tip: corkage is *cheap* ($10) so it pays to bring your own bottle of wine. It makes the value proposition a bit sweeter. (They also had this weird Armenian pomegranate wine there - It's so weird I have to try it.) more

Trois location not so good! 9/25/2006

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of La Med! I enjoy the Noe St location and when I want to get my shop on, with some yummy food in-between, I head over to the Fillmore St location. So I'm one of thoose city people that scuff at the idea of "going over the bridge" for an outing! So I bite my tongue and headed over to La Med to begin my Sunday outing. So when we get there and they don't have La Med's perfect sized lunch menu, which I have ordered from the other two locations on weekends, I knew this place was "different". When I asked the waitress why no lunch menu, I was told it was now only dinner. It was 1:15pm! Okay, so I ordered my fave, the chicken kabab with the yummy lemon chicken soup. The other two locations prepare the soup like a puree. Feels great going down! The Berkeley soup was chunky and lumpy with whole pieces of chicken and pasta. The kebab was dry and didn't have that great taste that I'm used too. The lemons were good! In a nutshell, I'll stick to this side of the bay for my La Med fix! Pros: The location, ambiance and sunny! Cons: The lack of consistency with the other locations. more

Good Stuff 7/20/2006

I like this place a lot. The service is good and the food is tasty. We got a sampler appetizer and it was fresh and flavorful. Our entrees were tasty and delectable. And the prices are reasonable.\r \r When the weather is good, outdoor seating is a must. PROS: CONS: Parking can be nuts more

tasty food and good catering 2/8/2006

I've eaten at all locations of this restaurant over the years and have always enjoyed my meal. In addition, they have a great menu of catered items, such as chicken cilicia and tiny spanikopita, which I like to get as finger food for parties. more

Mediocre Food 8/19/2005

I just read all the reviews and I sort of agree with some of them. The only thing I probably like there is the atmosphere, nice cozy little patio outside and good service. The food is so so. According to one review the chicken is dry, and the lamb kabob lacks flavor, so if you are a meat lover this place may not be the one for you.... more

Great food! 3/21/2005

I've been here a ton of times and never get sick of the food. Get the sampler appetizer platter which allows you to try everything on the menu. This gives you great variety and you can get a little bit of everything. They have a chicken pie thing that has raisens and chicken in it and is delicious! more

My favorite 5/18/2004

The Bay Area is a food mecca, we all know that. And yes, there are plenty of great expensive restaurants out there. But my most important standby is La Med. I have a driving need to eat there at least once a month. My experience with taking people to La Med is this: they either love it or hate it. And I love it. The hummus is so, so yummy, the mediterranean drip coffee, the fabulous chocolate mousse, and my normal entree: vegetarian middle eastern plate. But I used to eat meat here and it was always good too. Only drawbacks I ever noticed: sometimes pita bread isn't the freshest, and their chicken could, at times, be a bit dry. But the ambience -- whether for a nice early breakfast, a leisurely and lovely lunch, or a cozy, romantic dinner -- is tops. Go there! more
