the only reason I gave them one star is because you have to to make a comment. the waitresses here are absolutely RUDE and the OWNER is even worse! The food is.... eh and the deco...

My whole family used to go there as a tradition once or twice a year but from my last experience with RUDE waitresses and a cowardly RUDE owner I will never go back! Sorry buddy you just lost a LOT of loyal customers!!!! more

Beautifu Son 8/2/2011

As I entered into La Cocina Resturant, I caught a glimpse of this beautiful, wind swept, young boy. I then got interested. This boy has opended up my eyes to all of the beautiful things in nature. His eyes change from a bright ocean blue, to the disgusting waters of the swamp. It came to my knowledge that this boy was the owners very own son. Since he is related to the owner, i can now proudley say, "" I AM A USUAL AT LA COCINA MEXICAN RESTAURANT!"" This boy seemed to come from the Heavens above. OH GOD BLESS AMERICA. more

I went in to La Cocina the other night with some of my friends from Fla. The margharitas are amazing, chips and salsa were great and the chimichanga was wonderful. Our waitress Amber was on her game and gave us great service with her great personality. I should have appreciated her more while I was there by leaving a better tip. Hopefully one day she'll forgive me. more

Last night was terrible 12/21/2010

I went in to la Cocina and was seated. Not one waitress came for 10 minutes and we didn't even get our chips and salsa until then. We order margaritas which took almost 15 minutes and then finally we got to order our dinner. more

The enchiladas are very good. I love the margaritas. Just don't get the dumb blonde waitress Amber. She is very slow and has an attitude. Me and my wife were shocked on how rude she was to us. We very rarely complain, but this waitress has entitlement issues. If you go in ask for any server except Amber. more

Terrible, Terrible 9/10/2010

My co-workers and I frequent La Cocina for lunch time. I didn't want to spend alot of money for lunch so I ordered the special written on the board. It stated pork burrito, rice, beans for $4.50. After I received my bill and went to ask ""Mongo"" at the counter why my bill said $7.50. He argued that the sign said $7 even though it clearly said $4. Even an employee of his agreed with me but seemed to back off from Mongo. We had crappy service via Mongo a few weeks back as well. I will never go back. It is not worth and there are a lot better mexican places around including Cancun Cafe. more

K, so i have only been there three times... and i am absolutely in love with la cocina!!! and especially since i have this thing for cheese. And trust me... if you have a cheese feddish like me... they will satisy your cheesey needs!!! and their beans..... oh my!! They are heaven!! And the salsa and chips you get as an appetizer... wow. those are amazing! Let me just put it this way... i LOVE la cocina and it deserves way more than just five stars!! :DD more

Spent my whole life here 9/5/2009

I can't even remember when I started coming here. When I was like four years old or something. Back then I didn't appreciate it: got a basic plate of cheese enchiladas or a tostada. Pros: crunchy tacos; the pork; free margarita nights Cons: no more mannequin fiesta ladies :( more

Definitely my favorite mexican restaurant 2/26/2009

I have eaten here at least 10 times in the past 3 years and I absolutely love it. Everything tastes awesome with huge portions and good prices. The Carne Asada Fajita Burrito plate is my favorite; two huge burritos stuffed with the best tasting steak, onions and peppers, on a big platter with beans and rice all covered with melted cheese and whatever else for just about 11 bucks. They also have great chips and salsa, for FREE unlike many mexican restaurants these days. more

My friends absolutely love this restaurant. I have been about 7 or 8 times. You get seated right away and usually order right away, too but the food takes a little while to come to the table. If you are in a hurry, go somewhere else. They have a cheap or maybe even free margarita night. The plates arrive burning hot which is a huge bonus. I got a chicken taco once and it had cartilage or something in it so I only get cheese enchiladas now. The cheese is so hot and meltey you have to wait a few minutes or burn your tongue. I think the beans have a funny taste to them but no one else seems to notice, so I guess its just me. The fact that the food is so steaming hot and fresh overrides that. You get red and green salsa with the chips. Prices are reasonable for a sit down/waitress kind of establishment. The place has a crowded/high energy feel so its a good place to take friends. Pros: Food is HOT, service is great Cons: Food takes awhile to cook more

Solid tradition of HARDCORE AWESOME 8/17/2005

I've been going to this place since I was a kid, and have loved it every time I've been there. I have never been to a resteraunt that has been so consistantly superior. Somewhat recently though, they've added televisions in each corner or the place, usually playing ball games and beer commercials. It subtracts from the otherwise calm environment and attracts a few more of the roudy college jock type, but the food has allways hit just the spot it needs to.
