La Cazuela Restaurant

Al restaurante La Cazuela, le faltan cazuelas. El restaurante ofrece un plato llamado cazuelazo (y algo mas), pero no es una cazuela o nada parecido. El cazuelazo es pescado frito con camarones, arroz y platano frito. Honestamente, le falta sabor o el tipico sabor ecuatoriano. Mi tia y mi esposo pidieron el tan deseado encebollado, pero de encebollado no tenia nada. El caldo no tenia nada de sabor a pescado. La decepcion fue tanta que ya no pidieron nada de comer. Mi decepcion con mi order fue tal, que quize tratar la guatita, y tambien fue decepcionante. Pero, si desean unas buenas empanadas de viento o de verde, les recomendamos el lugar. El maduro con queso tambien estuvo delicioso. Mi tia y mi esposo son originales de Guayaquil, Ecuador y yo soy de Puerto Rico. Nuestra visita fue debut y despedida. El menu se leia fabuloso y encantador, lamentablemente la comida estaba escaza de sabor. Sinceramente, La Familia Decepcionada Pros: Empanadas de Viento y Empanadas de Verde Cons: Not Tasty more

My experience in this restaurant was not as expected. The service was very unprofessional, and not friendly. We made reservations in advance because we were coming from the DC metro area and we were told they had everything in the menu; however, when we arrived about 45 minutes later, they told us they did not have any fruit juice, beef dishes or some Ecuadorian specialties such "guatita, pescado, empanadas verdes, etc". Since we came from very far, we decided to stay and order what they had, but the food was not as tasty, and it took about 1 hour for us and the kids to eat. When it was time to pay, the waitress gave us a piece of paper with the total hand written, and when we added, we realized that they had included the tip but without informing us... so we almost leave 15% more in top of what she already added. I do not mind for the service charge to be included in my check, but I do mind when this is done without showing in the bill what they are trying to do. more
