What's going on with La Capilla's salsa 6/12/2007

La Capilla is my favorite Mexican Restaurant and I have friends and family who feel the same way. My favorites are the Chicken Flautas, Arroz con Pollo, and the wonderful tortilla soup. The last 2 times I have been there, however, the salsa has been hotter than usual, and I end up having to sleep sitting up at night because of the horrible heartburn I get. This is even after taking Tums, Pepto Bismol and Prevacid. I've never had this happen before at La Capilla. My friend, who has always loved their salsa, could hardly eat it yesterday because it was so hot. Has anyone else had this experience there? more

La Capilla 8/18/2005

I just love eating at the La Capilla Mexican restaurant. I think they have the best Mexican food around. I always go here if I am craving a burrito or carne fajitas. They are very good too with this service, I usually don’t have to wait very long to be seated or for my food to arrive and the waiters are always nice. more

La Capilla is a little, dimly lit place located in old town Torrance which seems to win "best Mexican restaurant" every year it tries. Try their food and you'll know why. Not only is their authentic Mexican cuisine great tasting, but its easy on the wallet. Each day there is a special priced between $4.50 and $6. This includes freshly made chips, salsa, tortilla soup and a combination plate with beans, rice and one or two items. Add to this a menu which is extensive, a full bar, and friendly staff and you'll never go anywhere else for sit down Mexican food. more

Excelent Restaurant 8/3/2005

This restaurant has the best salsa in this area and the chips are fresh made. The dishes are so good you can stop eating until everything is gone from your plate. This is my kids favorite restaurant. I will definitely recommend the fajitas, they are the best! more
