I' ve been to the westside salon a few times and I've never been truly satisfied. The salon looks beautiful...at a glance, but once you really look at the details, it's kinda run down. I have to say that the services I received were nice, but they were definately NOT worth the price. Save your money for better quality and not spend it on the ""look"" of the place. more

A friend of mine decided to cut all of her long hair off into a short bob a few years ago. Since this was a huge change for her, she wanted it to be a beautiful cut that would be easy to style and look good as is grew out. This is why she chose to go to La Bella. When she told me all of this I had to see for myself this place she trusted her new do to. And when I went in myself I could completely understand why La Bella was her top pick! The salon and spa are beautiful, the desk staff is always very helpful and gracious, the service providers listen, give expert advice and deliver professional service and make a special effort to make the whole experience relaxing, while every service itself is definitely high class and well worth the money. The products they use and retail are wonderful, I've actually switched my haircare I had been using religiously (which was a high end salon product also) to the Moroccan Oil and Euphora since going there! Definitely 5 star salon spa experience you'd expect from the west coast! I know once I walk into La Bella, it really is all about me! more

Last night I had my hair cut and highlighted by Dawn Davidi at La Bella, and she did an amazing job!!! I have never been so happy with my hair, and I have gotten a ton of compliments on it!! \r \r The customer service at La Bella is excellent as well! I went in stressed out and agitated, and I left relaxed and excited to come back! the atmosphere of both la bella locations is beautiful! i actually have had good and bad experiences there. I have been going to audrey at various places for waxing and she is the BEST! perfectionist, quick and perfect each time!\r \r as far as the salon....i've had highlights with a woman named denise a couple years ago at the coors location. my hair is dark brown, she turned it orange and told me to give it a couple days. i called upset and brandy the manager was very accomodating and scheduled me in asap to get it fixed. a few times w different stylists that are no longer there went very well! if you are tenderheaded and like someone quick, avoid Andrew. He is rough brushing hair and washing it. It took 3 and a half hours for highlights! not very friendly, and the highlights looked chunky in some spots and pin thin in others. \r \r Overall the coors location is a hit or miss, depending on the stylist. Which other than andrew, they have a high turn around which makes it hard to keep going. Like I saiid, for waxing audrey is amazing!!!!! for hair, its the luck of the draw. Beautiful environment and quality products, brandi is also very professional and takes pride in her customers satisfaction. more

Just got back from a day treatment at la bella spa. I had read the reviews and was a little nervous about going so i requested veronica because of a review i read on this site. I got a body scrub, a bath, and a facial. (all as a birth day gift) I Loved it. She answered some questions i had about my skin on the backs of my arms and put some special treatment on my face that made it really smooth, i wanted to rub my hands all over it. (which she promptly suggested i not do :) just wanted to add my 2 cents. Thanx Jay more

I recently had service at la bella. I had a certificate given to me. I had a pedicure which only lasted 15 mins. Which I've had at least 45 mins. To an hour at other places. The workers were so snobby. Also my neice had a service done as well. She had her haircut and had a certificate as well. The guy had chopped her hair and texterized the hell out of it. The certificate had stated a massage and a shampoo, cut and style. Didn't receive any of the other except a dry haircut. The haircut was the worse she had ever had. Since the certificate had up to 5 different services, all the services were horrible. We had a facial scheduled, they took us upstairs for a massage. Told them it was a facial and argued with us saying we didn't schedule a facial. So they couldn't fit us in. Since our certificate expired the next day, they couldn't do it. What kind of service is that. I would never go back again. more

had an hour and a half facial with veronica and was so happy. One of the best massages ever. she rubbed my feet hands arms neck and shoulders. I was thrilled, like a massage and a facial. I felt like it was very worth the money, i've already made my next appointment -christina Pros: i felt like i got a massage and facial in one. Its not just the fresh from the salon feeling that we left with. Its the feeling that we just had a great time with our friends! Dawn and Nam work so well together to make me and my daughter feel special. When we are there it is all about us. We like how much they both love what they do. I love my hair and my daughter (who looks like a rock star) cant wait to go to school in the morning to show off her new cut by Nam and color by Dawn! We love how great we look and how much we laughed while we were there! Thank you for helping us forget about our crazy busy lives if even just for a little while! OH- And thanks for the how to do this at home tips! We LOVE that! Pros: We look and feel great! Cons: Cant keep my hands out of my hair! more

I went into La Bella a few months ago to get my hair cut. I usually went to a girl at Aveda but she moved away and I needed to find someone else. I called and was able to get an appointment the same day, which was great. The not so great thing was they put me with a new hairdresser there named Nam. I don't want to sound mean, but after seeing all these reviews about how ""great"" he's supposed to be, I thought people should hear the truth from a REAL CLIENT. I felt like he didn't listen to what I wanted my hair to look like, I felt like he only cared to talk about himself, and over all I felt creeped out by him. The only reason I have not gone back in to get another haircut with a DIFFERENT stylist is because I want to avoid an awkward run-in with him! He is not cut out to be what all these reviews say, and honestly, they must be fake. I'm sad that my first La Bella experience ruined any future experiences in the salon department. Maybe some day I will take my chances again and be surprised! Pros: Best place to go in ABQ Cons: Was recommended to the WRONG stylist! more

I've been getting my hair cut and styled by Nam for years. I have tried several different stylist, with poor results, but I've always found my way back to Nam. I live in the Alb. area and am very pleased to have him here, since traveling to his salon in Denver was very hard. I highly recommend Nam and will continue to use Nam for my wife and two kids. 5 stars, super awesome. Pros: Well versed in mens hair cuts more

I went into La Bella to get a Mens facial. I have never had one before and it was amazing! Deborah obviously knew what she was doing and gave me the best service I could ask for! I would recomend anybody to Deborah, Truly amazing!!! more

whats up with all these reviews about NAM ITS almost as though hes coming on here and doing it himself . Although I've been a client of La Bella for some time, I had Debra wax my eyebrows today. I am so happy with them. I have very full brows with a high peak that I don't like. She really listened to the way I wanted them to look and she did a beautiful job. I haven't been this happy with my crazy eyebrows in a long time! Thanks, Debra! Nam was wonderful. I wanted something different and fresh but had no idea where to start. Nam gave me some suggestions and was patient. He gave me the best cut I have ever had! I went there 10 days ago (on Thursday) for signature manicure and pedicure. I was scheduled with a new manicurist who did a pretty bad job. I expressed disatisfaction at the front desk person and her response to me was ""would you like to leave a tip"". For having spent around $80 on the stuff, it wasn't just a waste of my money but also my time to have gone to such an unprofessional place. I have been to Betty's Bath several times and will definitely stick with them for everything. Unfortunately they don't do manicures/pedicures. I'm so confused by the previous posts...and is it just me or do ALL of the reviews for Nam sound like they were written by the same person? It's the same syntax...anyways... I just moved to ABQ a couple of months ago and was having a hard time finding a hair dresser. My boss recommended La Bella. I called to make my appointment and the girl's at the front were super nice. She asked me what type of cut I was wanting and I told her that I didn't know. At that point she recommended William. When I got there William was very nice and very professional. After a couple of minutes discussion he made a suggestion for my hair and I told him to do what ever he thought would look good. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED MORE COMPLIMENTS ON MY HAIR!!! It looks amazing. The cut was perfect and I have since gone back for a trim and color. I have sent all of my friends and co-workers to William and everyone of them loved the results. Not only have we all enjoyed the atmosphere of La Bella but also Williams talent with hair, his humor, and his professionalism. I would HIGHLY suggest that if you want a GREAT cut or color, that you go see William at La Bella Salon! more
