SO Good, they survive across the street from Starbucks 6/25/2007

La Goccia is the type of coffee shop that holds its own just meters away from a Starbucks. Cappuccinos are frequently served in glass mugs, and older men sit outside smoking cigars. The smoke is not usually a problem, as there tends to be a breeze. I haven't tried their gelatto, but it looks heavenly. Bare in mind, it's a small cafe, and inside seating is limited. Enjoy my favorite cafe :-) Pros: Excellent coffee Cons: Limited seating more

Not very inspiring 6/18/2002

This small coffee shop uses Illy beans for some of their coffee drinks, but not for all. The service is friendly (and they also serve a decent array of desserts and sandwiches), but it's not the kind of place to linger and read or write, really. The music and décor (think wicker) are both quite ordinary. more
