As a regular patron of L2, I feel obliged to comment on the nonsense written by dallascarter/djhives (clearly the same person). Pros: Great Service, Delicious Food

Worst

L2 is a pretty decent place in the neighborhood (which I object to another reviewer characterizing as a ""dismal"" or ""depressing"" part of town. No, we're not Rittenhouse Square...

1920's Greenwich Village in Philadelphia 8/8/2002

L2 is a touch of Bohemia - New York, perhaps even the Left Bank of Paris - here in Philadelphia. It collects a great mix of people - and it provides them with delicious and creative American food, along with a great bar and wonderful service. There is a charming atmosphere of warmth and friendship. It's a true neighborhood bar - Center City's best bistro/cafe with a very welcoming and dedicated approach to proving the best. Love it! sleek,cool, great mandarin cosmos 8/7/2002

Love L2 Noone makes a better mandarine cosmopolitan. The Fried Tomatoes & Mozzarella cant be beat. And who wants to leave the cozy dining room, filled with velvet? Great service, friendly staff, and hands-on owner, make L2 different than a lot of places. TRY IT!!!! Oh and L2 always has great red wine by the glass! Pros: great food, cool staff, ice cold drinks more
