Kush Lounge

One of the best kept secrets on the lower east side lounge scene. Love the vibe and the staff at this place. Great drinks---great music especially on Saturday nights. Will go back again for sure. more

Kush, i'm adding you to my list of default places to go out. of course a "default place" could be different for everyone, so for reference, my other default places include Fat Baby, 675, RBar, etc. If you are a fan of those places, i'd suggest you check out Kush. Why i'm a fan: 1. high energy atmosphere, mid-20 crowd, mixed races 2. good music to dance to (mostly top hits, with emphasis on hiphop) 3. no cover for girls, $10 cover guys, hassle-free door policy. 4. a crowd, but not overlycrowded 5. places to lounge when you want a break from dancing 6. hookah is available if you get a table, and also if wanna smoke it at the bar 7. not overly stuffy/sweaty..hard to find in LES more

I went to Kush this week for the first time for a Girls in Technology event. the staff was very attentive and the place is very much a lounge! drinks were tasty and i like the set up. The food looked good, although I didn't get a chance to sample anything. The event had a few speakers which the venue had accommodations for, which was good. it seems like a good place to have a private event, and I saw a flier that had some information about Sunday Sessions every Sunday night with a really good DJ. I def want to check that out! more

I've been to Kush several times and it's hands down the best bar / lounge on the LES. It's beautiful inside and the way the place is split up into different areas is very cool. Also, the staff there aren't full of attitude. The DJ that's there on Saturday nights is amazing and he kept the placed packed until 4AM. more

Being a new comer to the New York restaurant scene I was delighted by the atmosphere of this place. Very quiet and welcoming , friendly staff. The menu even has Chicken Samosas but more like the mediterranean kind. If you are looking for a great place to relax after a hard day in New York, i would recommend Kush lounge.? more

I love this place. It's chill. It's quasi-candle-lite. It's like you're in the middle of Marrakesh, Casablanca, Fez or Tangiers, Morocco. The hummus is excellent. I used to DJ there awhile back and it was really incredible times I had there. I've been meaning to come back and do some more spinning there, but what an incredible environment to find oneself in at 2:00AM laughing with friends and mixing some sick world beats. Life doesn't get much better than that my friends.? more

I had a great birthday party here! Manager is very accommodating and bouncer outside is friendly. I had lots and lots of fun... so did my friends... we danced, did some hookah and outstanding service from the cocktail waitress. I really like the lounge feeling and you can dance on the table. :) more

I've only gone to Kush once and I'm surprised I haven't made my way back there yet because I really liked this place. I'm not into hookahs but the drinks were great and the service was even better! more

I Hosted my 40th Bday at Kush Lounge Saturday June 13th...The entire venue was a class act from Management to Staff. In an era where people are rude and make patrons feel like 2nd class citizens, Kush Lounge is all about the Customers Experience.The DJ was simply amazing spinning whatever it takes to get the people dancing and Dance we did! I strongly recommend Kush Lounge for anyone interested in stress free Good Times! Thanks for everything! more

I typically don't give bar/lounges/clubs more than 3 stars.. cause most of the places are the same. On night came here for someone's bday's party..( yes there are always bday parties) I was amazed by this place Here are some reasons 1. Hidden.. which is always a plus for me.. no sign in the front.. 2. you walked in.. the decor is like a castle.. LOVE IT.. not super crowded.. yes please I don't want to wear other people's sweats 3. Young professional crowded.. no underage kids or grandpa/grandma 4. Hookah was JUST A-OK.. if the Hookah was better. i probably give it 5 stars 5. Music was good.. although it's not a dance club.. there are rooms for you and your friends to dance off.. It was a fun/ unique place.. I would love to go back there sometimes. more

I recently just attended an event here and I have to say this place really impressed me. The staff at Kush were extremely nice and went out of their way to make sure everyone was having a great time. The drinks were inexpensive and the Sangria was awesome!! I recommend it to anyone who visits. The DJ kept the crowd going into the wee hours of the night. I will definitely be back for happy hour and to book future events here. more

You can do both here to DJs who have a good idea about what they're doing judging by the range of hip hop and mainstream hot-on-the-radio mixes. The drinks are not too expensive compared to the rest of the Lower East Side. It gets packed on the weekend with an eclectic crowd but given their laid-back attitude and lack of pompous a-holes, I would go back. more

I had my birthday there a couple weeks ago and had an amazing time...from what I remember. Booked the event through Blaque list (extremely helpful) and the evening went off without a hitch. All my guests (no limit) were comped since we had bottle service. We were seated in the area right next to the entry, adjacent to the bar. It was a great, semi-private and convenient location. We got two bronze packages and got two additional hookahs instead of the platters because I figured we were there to dance and drink. I remember we had to get one or two hookah's fixed because they were too harsh, which the staff was really accommodating about. Can't comment too much on the music because I really don't remember. There was also another bar in the back which I heard was more crowded than the bar we were next to. It never got too packed throughout the night, which is always a plus. Just as a warning: a 20% gratuity is included no matter how many drinks you get at the bar. So just beware! Otherwise, I had an AMAZING birthday!! Thanks Kush and Blaque list! I would definitely recommend! Their buy 1 get 1 free bottle special on Thurs and Fridays, I believe, is also a GREAT deal. Can't get better than this in NYC. Also, my friend was actually able to find parking right around the corner, so it's not impossible in the LES to park. - From emmell more

This place was great! we had a fantastic time here a few weeks ago with a few friends who were visiting nyc. the space is quite large, not too fancy, and is decorated mediterranean-y. there is hookah and the drinks are decent as well. basically it is a chill place to hang out with a dance floor, a bar, and hookah. we spent the entire night here and we weren't bored!? more
