Best

This is one of my very favorite restaurants in SF. There food is excellent and they have the best tirimisu I have ever had. They have a beau...

Worst

Kuleto's on Powell Street was once a really good restaurant with pretty reasonable price...about 10-12 years ago. I would dine at this restaurant at least 3 times a month, maybe ...

I went there with friend of mine. We had reservation however had to wait another extra 30 minutes. Food was tasty however waiter attitude was horrible. I would pass next time on this one. Not worth the wait you overpay and on top you have to put up with staff attitude. Thanks but no thanks Pros: not much pros Cons: staff attitude more

Just so so - dissappointed 9/25/2006

I live in South Bay and tried Kuleto's Los Gatos and Burlingame before(They are are good). The food at SF Kuleto's was only average for the price. Everything was too salty. The service was lousy. There are so many nice restaurants in the city, we will definitely take a pass on this one next time! Pros: interior - cozy environment Cons: food, service more

excellent restaurant 6/17/2006

My wife and I have been coming here for years. Reservations recommended. The bar is very nice and is in front of the restaurant/tables and good place to get a drink before dinner. We have always found good and courteous service and the food is always excellent. If you live outside the city it is easy to get to by bart. Get off at the Powell st. station and just walk up about three blocks and the restaurant is on the left. After dinner take the cable car (powell and hyde) down to Ghiradelli square and have an Irish coffee or just walk around the warf. more

Staff Attitude 5/31/2006

The interior is probably the best feature, especially near the open kitchen. Overall the food was only average for the price. The biggest problem was the attitude of the waitress who, after very ordinary service, complained loudly about the size of the tip. Yes, we made a mistake ma'am - we shouldn't have left a tip at all. We don't take kindly to being abused by service staff, after all a tip is discretionary and to be earned, not taken for granted. There are other choices in the area and we'd give this place a miss next time we visit the city. Pros: Interior ambience Cons: Staff attitude, Pricey, Probably have to wait more

I just had dinner at Kuleto's this past Wednesday. We showed up for our reservation 5 minutes early & were told there would be a "slight" wait. Well, a slight eait turned into almost an hour wait!! The staff was very cordial, but I will be cautious about eatting there if you are on a timeline! Pros: great food, nice atmosphere, freindly staff Cons: long wait to be seatd more

Good food and our server was great, but the staff at the host stand was horrible. We had a reservation at 8:30, told it would be a few minutes and ended up getting seated around 9:00. If you are in a hurry or expect to get seated at a certain time, don't count on it. Pros: Food Cons: Host/Hostess more

We missed a play... Wanted a drink and something to eat... Was already in a bad mood... Stopped by and was pleasantly surprised to find a friendly bartender, a great new drink (recommended by the same), friendly, attentive service and great food. Turned a bad evening into a memorable experience. We willl definitely be returning to this place. By the way, I generally don't write reviews, but this place made such a positive impression that I felt compelled to say something. more

nothing trendy, just great 9/17/2004

there's no culinary ground broken here, which seems just fine with the conventioning clientele. the pastas are house-made and very satisfactory. fettuccine with smoked chicken...to die for. good service. loud and convivial. try to snag a seat at the open kitchen counter if you like to watch. Pros: excellent food, service more
