Best

Kojacks is a great choice for sandwiches and plate specials for lunch and they serve a Pros: Culinary Food at reasonable prices.

Worst

I have run into Kojak's a lot to pick up lunch since it's close to my office, and everything I've eaten there has been great but there is one lady who is SO RUDE it's ridiculous. ...

Good food, nice people 11/8/2009

Don't know where those guys went where they got such bad service 'cause it wasn't Kojak's. The food is good, everything is fresh, and the staff is nice. Pros: Great, fresh spinach pies, cookies, and brownies Cons: ambiance could be ""warmer"" more

Excellent food 3/4/2009

LIving within a few blocks, I've been here several times and always had excellent food and service. I only wish the ambience was better and they hadn't removed the wall of wine bottles which was very pretty. The chicken enchiladas are superb, and the Mediterranean plate very tasty. And the pastries are excellent. Pros: Food Cons: decor more

Terrible service, good food. 7/19/2008

I go there regularly out of necessity as I live right by it. Each time, the service has been terrible. The people there are not at all courteous, especially this one particular lady who is amazingly rude every time for no apparent reason. The food is not bad, its fairly good--but the service just puts a huge damper on the experience. They really don't know how to run a restaurant business. Its sheer luck that they've been around for as long as they have. I guess their food is good enough for the likes of me to put up with it. Don't bother asking for any modifications to your food, the lady will get mad and act as if you just called her names. Also, don't be there in the last hour of their operation, they'll be ruder than before and even shut the lights out on you while talking about you right in your presence ! Pros: Good food overall Cons: Terrible service. Rude staff that treats its customers like nuisance more

Very Good 4/3/2008

This is a great place to grab a quick bite for lunch, take-out, or the casual sit down dinner. The sandwiches are great, especially the Monterrey Chicken Sandwich. The daily specials are generous in proportion and are reasonable priced. They also offer a wide variety of drinks, chips and desserts. There is also plenty of seating. It generally takes under 10 minutes from the time you order to the time you get your food. The only con I see with this restaurant is that it is not open on Saturdays or Sundays. Pros: Good food good prices Cons: Not open on Sat/Sun more

Sandwiches are great but TERRIBLE service! 7/10/2007

I have run into Kojak's a lot to pick up lunch since it's close to my office, and everything I've eaten there has been great but there is one lady who is SO RUDE it's ridiculous. She snatches the money/credit card out of my hand when I pay, acts exasperated if you speak to her, doesn't return a smile and doesn't say ""thank you"" or ""have a nice day"" or ""enjoy your lunch"" or anything nice at all. Once I went and she was arguing with another member of the staff right at the cash register in front of the lunchtime rush, and the volume escalated to such a degree that I thought there was going to be a fistfight. IMO they have the best falafel sandwich in town but I doubt that getting the sandwich is worth putting up with the bad attitude. I guess they think they can get away with being so ugly b/c the food is far better than other shops in the neighborhood. Pros: Yummy sandwiches, good chip & drink selection Cons: Rude staff, parking places are too skinny more

Please check what is in your food! 6/9/2007

My husband and me used to go at least twice a week, but not anymore. One day I ordered enchiladas to go and found three pieces of glass (the size of 1/4 aspirin each), and I swallowed one of them!. I went to the restaurant to show them the remaining 2 pieces and they told me that I made everythihg up while they were pulling the container out from my hands trying to keep it. The cashier called to the owner and he did not want to speak to me. The only think that I wanted was an apology and my money back, but I got nothing, just humilliation and a phone call from their insurance next day. Pros: Taste Cons: Service, Glass in the food more

Great sandwiches and BEST iced tea! 1/3/2007

My husband and I recently moved to the neighborhood and found Kojak's on a recent evening for dinner. We both got sandwiches (the club and reuben), and although the bread was not the usual rye for the reuben, it was excellent. Everything was super fresh and delicious. The absolute best part was the iced tea - they have the REAL shaved ice and fresh brewed tea. You can also bring your own wine if you want, which we will probably do next time. Cute place, great food - it was hard to find their website, but it is kojakscafe.*com. We'll be back to try entrees! Pros: Fresh food, ample parking, BYOB Cons: Not open on Saturdays for dinner more
