Kohler Movers

I had my entire household in storage with these hooligans. My $3,000 sofa was destroyed by water and stains. The movers broke and stole various items, and the movers they hire for out-of-state moves were the WORST. They spoke some kind of thick drawl that we could barely understand. If you are thinking of storing anything of value with them, I would highly recommend that you don't. They will rifle through your belongings and take whatever they want. more

we just used kohler movers for our move and were extremely pleased with their service. the quote we were given was accurate, and albert, the owner, gave us recommendations for small items to move ourselves if we wanted to save some money. the movers were extremely professional, organized, and hard-working. i would not hesitate to use this company again. more

Were friendly and responsive when visiting and submitting quote. When I called to confirm was then told of upcharges not mentioned during quoting process. I was desperate so I agreed to use them anyway. Received call to confirm on a Friday morning, less than a week before moving day. Then owner calls me at 9pm that night to say there's no way they can move me at agreed upon rate and time because ""I have too much stuff""... He acted like he was doing the job for free. I told him to stick it. I'll move the stuff myself before being scammed.\r \r Very unprofessional with a half dozen different people giving me a half dozen different stories about rates, time-frames, confirmation, etc. My profession gives me many opportunities to refer legitiamte companies for various services. We had a terrible experience with this co. They have a very deceptive salesman that comes to your house and give a quote based on your contents. The first thing he does is show you a ""quote"" sheet that has the per hour charge based on how many men needed. He circled and told us that we needed 4 men w/ 1 truck and also circled that our total cost would be between $900 and max of $1500. He also stated that we never have any claims for breakage & we pad all doorways, etc. We reserved w/ this co. 1 month prior to our move and contacted them several times during this time to make sure everything was set for our move date. We even talked w/ the owners wife during this time making sure that we would not incur OT charges that they charge if the time goes past 5 pm. She reiterated that 4 men would get us moved before any OT would occur. The morning of our move the owner calls my wife and asks if he needs to bring more trucks, my wife told him our quote was for 4 men and a truck. He rudely responded that this was a lie and his company would not have quoted us 4 men and that he would abort the move if we would not allow more men. Having no other recourse, we allowed them to proceed. Needless to say, he sent 7 men and it cost us $800 more than the max quote of $1500. They way the scam works is, also on the quote sheet it mentions that it could take between 4-8 men, but the salesman is adament about it only taking 4 and circles the rate by 4 men. Then coincidently the owner calls you up the morning of the move (even though you have had 4 men reserved for a month) and threatens to abort if you dont agree to more men. Also, we had 12 glasses and a mirror broken, but they do not cover anything that the dont actually box up. They also do not pad doorways. We have since talked with several others who have had this same scam pulled on them by this company. The owner especially is downright beligerant when you try to deal with him.
