KCD believes in the worth of each person no matter his or her circumstance in life and treats each person with respect. No problem is ever discounted. Our purpose is to do whatever we can to make the world a better place.. EmerCorps was developed as an after business hours program for providing interpreters. Sometimes emergencies happen and interpreters are needed in the middle of the night. This program allows for a coordinator to sign up interpreters who want to be on-call for the night. If an emergency occurs then that interpreter gets sent to interpret. This program has benefitted the deaf community by allowing 24 hour access to interpreting services.
