DO NOT GO HERE 9/24/2008

I was having table service which was minimum $3000 spend and having a good time here until a bouncer decided to come over and push me into the table to allow other guest to come in. I turned around and said 'hey, all you have to do is say excuse me' to which he replied ' no i dont' ' i asked to see the manager' he replied ' i am the manger' i asked to see the owner 'he replied 'i own this place' . He then took me out the back with 3 other bouncers to try an intimidate me. The other bouncers were lovely but i told them i was going to leave anyway, so i left with my wife. The bouncer refused to apologise but could not tell me why i was pulled out of the club. This place is a joke, very rude people and i urge you everyone not to go near it. Pros: Good Music Cons: Very Rude arrogant Staff, who think they are doing you a favor more

Worst place ever- Rude Idiot at the Door 8/2/2008

I've been to some of the most exclsuive places in NYC and I've never come across something like this. The guys at the door are complete idiots! Barely speak english and are on a power trip. I actually called in advance and spoke to some women who put me on the list. I'm in the entertainment industry. When I spoke to the idiot at the door who did agree that I was on the list he insisted that I still needed a table. After waiting for 30 minutes I left and went to Mansion and had a great time. I have never encountered such rudeness and complete disregard for people. The guy at the door who let his idiot friends with T-Shirts should be fired! I'd never go to this spot again! Pros: Nothing Cons: Guys at the Door! more

BEWARE OF THE RANDY 7/13/2008

I have come here to only write about Randy! I totally agree wtih PrinceWilliam's post! I already wrote on Shecky's! Randy is a douc**bag! I took my coworkers to K&F to entertain some buy-side client. This Randy totally overcharged us, and tried taking advantage of the fact that we were drunk. He charged us an extra $500 dollars for some bottle that we never asked for and never got! Luckily I was still in the right mind and naturally I objected to the bill. When he realized he was caught, he tried to turn the blame on us and started accusing us. Randy is one step above a bouncer....he is JUST a bouncer with a nicer suit! And I say this because of the manner in which he dealt with us and the language he used on us! I guess he was too illiterate to know UBS and our assets under management. We spent $3,500 that night, so I don't think we would have cared spending another $500! However, it's the principle/ethic that I am questioning here! This is NOT the way to do business or treat your customers! Then out of nowhere, this f**ker called the cops! Oh did I mention...when he realized he was caught, he called another a**hole...some Rhino...who was also one of those douc**bag bouncer/managers of the place! I mean honestly...what's with this place? RANDY.....RHINO.....who's coming next?? RAMBO? I am writing this to warn people that this place is full of crooks! Do not deal with Randy. He is a son of a b**ch! Pros: Nothing Cons: Randy, Rhino, more

AVOID: GIVING NYC A BAD NAME 7/13/2008

kiss and fly is the worse place in new york city...i have gone to numerous "exclusive" clubs all over the city and never have I seen such low class service from the losers from the door. I wouldnt even waste time google searching this place...I give it 2 more months until it closes down....the losers at the door acted shady towards African Americans and also non international people...the guys running the door inside and outside are basically scumb-bags. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!! Pros: absolutely NOTHING Cons: EVERYTHING more

Avoid EVERY Night! 7/12/2008

The most non color friendly club in New York City...hands down. I go out frequently enough to know the difference. I hardly pull the race card but don't let the African American sell out bouncers fool you. This place is 100% pre-civil rights!!!!...Try it for yourself to see.... Pros: nothing Cons: everything more

Great place, great music....just ignore the sod, Randy 7/11/2008

Great place, great ambience and GREAT GREAT music! K&F is a breath of fresh air in the NYC nightlife scene! Hats off to the doorman Mila and his team! It's never easy controlling the crowd at a place like this, but this suave dude is a thorough gentleman! Even when he is saying "NO" to people, he does that politely and with humility! Full marks to MILA! I have clubbed all over the world, with some of the finest and the most elite, and I think K&F has definitely got it together! I strongly recommend the place! The BIGGGEST negative is this arse-licking bird-brain of a w@nker, RANDY (don't know what his parents were thinking naming him that)...who was my bottle host for the evening! He seems like that typical "dying-to-suck-on-the-power-teet" of the famous and wealthy! It's been years since I have met anyone as annoying and fake as this motherf**ker! I would say that the WORST time for me at the club was the two minutes when this RANDY prikc escorted me to my table! The idiot just wouldn't shut his piehole up! All in all, K&F is a truly great spot.....provided someone locks up this Randy chap in the loo or something! Pros: Great doorman, good energy, GREAT MUSIC and AMBIENCE Cons: RANDY..... more

WACK 6/27/2008

Wack! This place is form euro tourist and pretentious people from long island and nj who read an article about it. go to a real ny spot, not here. Pros: Pretty Girls Cons: Wack Club more

fabulous! 6/25/2008

Had my first Kiss & Fly experience last night and it was amazing! We only waited outside for like 5 minutes, and once we entered, had an incredible time. The music was perfect, the crowd was hott, and the gorgeous bartender kept giving us free shots! Can't wait to go back again! Pros: crowd, music, fun bartenders Cons: none more

Stay away! 6/8/2008

I was invited to the premier party for the club, which was fun. I therefore decided to go back with some friends on a Saturday night. Despite being told days before that I was on the guest list, my name mysteriously was not on it when we arrived at the place. The doors had just opened so there was nobody inside. Nevertheless, the cheesy rude doorman who is probably an unemployed wanna-be-actor refused to let us in unless we paid $1,500 for a table. No thank you. Never again. Pros: none Cons: rude, crass and cheesy doorman more

loved it 6/3/2008

went for the first time last week. wow had a really good time. music was incredible and the people were all very gorgeus. hard door though.........didnt like waiting Pros: great night out Cons: tough door more

I am from Pink Elephant 6/3/2008

Hi I am from Pink Elephant and I come on this site every week to give it a bad rating because they took all of our workers and now we are left with a low end, bridge & tunnel crowd that lets everyone and their mothers into the club to make money. Yes, I am that stupid to leave traces all over this site. more

Not Good, Even When It's Free 5/10/2008

Went out for Girls Night Out last night. One of my girlfriends has a connection at Kiss & Fly, so I figured I would go with the flow and enjoy a fun evening of dancing and drinking. We went around midnight, and didn't have to wait at the door, which was a HUGE plus. There must have been 100+ people waiting outside like a bunch of schmucks. Why do people do this to themselves? I wish I could have told them then that it was definitely NOT worth it. Inside the atmosphere at first had a fun vibe from the devil/angel theme going on. There were hot go-go dancers, and a mix of model-types and chiseled Euro dudes. But overall, a closer look at most of the patrons revealed they were either A) 50+ year old men trying to dance, or B) average "Bro/I got a new haircut" type guys in Armani Exchange shirts and wannabe models in prostitute-style outfits. No bother, I was there to dance with my girlfriends. Too bad the DJ was sub-par and played from what sounded like an iPod mix. Nothing flowed, there were way too many slow points where dancers just sort of stopped and looked around, and I swear he played "Rhythm is a Dancer." And I had to deal with lots of people on the dance floor waving their stinky cigarettes inches from my face. Gross. What's up with the busboys picking up half-full drinks from tabletops? I don't know how people can pay $500 for bottle service when the reserved areas are tiny and very close together. But I did have more than one guy brag to me about his job on Wall Street (am I supposed to be impressed, do*che-bag?) , so I guess $500 is chump change. Also had to deal with all kinds of greasy guys trying to put their hands all over me & my friends. Blech. I would never go back, even with my connection and free drinks. I would say save your time and money, but I know the people who go to places like Kiss & Fly on purpose don't really care what reviews say. You've been warned. more

Your better off going elsewhere..... 4/3/2008

Honestly this place was a real disapptment. Figured since aer closed they would reopen a nicer posher place maybe something similar to a tenjune or pink elephant vibe and instead its cheese factor all the way. can we say that aer was better than this place?? and we all knw how aer is so....u can only imagine how bad this place is. the place somehow shrunk down in sz and is super small with only 1 bar area. its now filled w small tables and a tiny dance floor. while theres elevated areas to make u feel like vip, its jus a cramped space all around and all the tables r so close to each other. the decor is super cheesey and tacky, its like a bad arabian nights or something. i dont suggest the place, the crowd is eh and its really not anything special. i wouldnt be surprised if the place closed months from now. Pros: its new? Cons: cheesey decor, bleh crowd more

Worst Night of MY LIFE 3/22/2008

This was really a horrible evening for both me and my husband. We are both professional dancers and finely tuned heathy attractive people. We were treated like junk from the door. Told we "had" to get bottle service. On a friday night, after dinner Pasties, etc. I am told I HAVE to spend 500 dollars to dance? Please. We tore the room up and no one there knew dancing from posing. If posing is dancing then this is the place to go. Everyone was "who are you?" attitude. Staff was more interested in how much money they could rap out of you then anything else. The haggered waitresses were hitting on my husband. They had the NERVE to take a glass of champagne for themselves after we were "ordered" by the german staff to buy the junk. Had it not been uncorked in front of me, this DOm Perignon was peculiarry not tasteful. Skunked Champagne at a new club. Where are you buying your product??? Left over from your other failed clubs? Was told by NUMEROUS people inside and after that this is a "remake" of the real club Pink Elephant and that that is where to go next time. After dinner dancing is what we wanted without a cab drive. Next time, ( which is rare these days) we will catch a ride to 27th street and catch the elephant. We dont do the club thing often .And have no problem paying a premium for a worthy night out. This is just another bridge and tunnel wannabe. Not even worth the 25 dollars ( if thedormen let you in) as a "guest" of the regime. This place wont last a year. Pros: none at all Cons: ALL things are baD more

KISS & FLY IS REALLY GREAT 2/16/2008

Okay......... so I am a REAL person that rates clubs/lounges/resturants in NYC. I've noticed that a couple of "users" that are giving bad reviews are actually the owners from Pink Elpehant. So really sad. Don't you know that you can track an IP Address? And the different names you sign up with to give negative reviews to Kiss&Fly and then go on WITH THE SAME NAME and review your club as great and best is not so genius? Why all the hostility anyway? Kiss & Fly is not trying to be the old Pink Elephant! If people left Pink to work at K&F.......... LET IT GO! I go to K&F quite often after dinners & lounges. I will be honest, the decor needs a little bit of work. It is kind of cheesy (looks like Caesars Palace). But the crowd IS BEAUTIFUL, DOOR IS TOUGH & THE SERVICE WAS NEVER EVER BAD anytime I've been there. It is VERY EXCLUSIVE CLUB right now ONLY BECAUSE IT'S VERY NEW! So if the doorman gives you a hard time at the door...... give him a break! It's his job! The music is incredible, especially when MArco the resident DJ at Pink spins there every Friday nights. It has a cozy feeling. Most people know each other & it's really FUN! By the way....... I still think Pink Elephant is great too. Probably better decor and sound system than K&F... but to be honest the crowd at Pink is all bridge and tunnel now. That is a REAL REVIEW FROM A REAL PERSON! Pros: A LOT Cons: HARD DOOR more

Only if you like being ignored, abused, then denied entrance by a loser doorman/wall street broker by day simpleton 2/12/2008

I was treated horribly tonight at Kiss & Fly - basically ignored and not even considered import enough for the guest list guy to bother to look at his pad when I inquired about being on the list and invited by Click Models and Melissa Baker the new Sports Illustrated model. In fact, I've never been treated so badly in a doorman entry situation. I even watched as a known rapper was corralled into a waiting line area and had to beg to be allowed in after his fellow rappers were allowed in. It was almost ridiculous. A narcissistic vent by an over inflated ego of an obviously simple man holding a pencil and pad who thinks attitude and absolute rudeness are how one in his position should act. And by the way this guy looked like a wall street broker by day. Thinking about the whaled experience, I don't want an apology - I'd like to know he was fired or that Sports Illustrated model's PR people understand how absolutely horrible people were being treated - people who only came to wish Melissa well - in fact I pleaded with him that I was there to see Melissa and had been invited as well as put on a 'supposed' guest list I think people are over elitist clubs like this and should not even bother to attend such a venue unless they crave being abused at the door. I go to many clubs in New York owned by people I know and they would never allow their door person to make someone invited to their club feel so horrible when hosting a party for a company or person. I know because I've had parties at clubs and made sure they knew to treat my guests with the utmost courtesy and respect. This is not one of those clubs. Pros: there are no pros when you have your self esteem crushed by a rude doorman Cons: plenty of cons read my review more

Loved it! 2/2/2008

KISS AND FLY FAR FAR AWAY 1/22/2008

WOW. One would think a newclub in the maetpacking dist. would have a better crowd the n this their first month. Can you say AER???? This is a recycled Aer nightclub that was a joke and had the WORST crowd. It will be hip hop and steaks by the beginning of the summer. Save your money, go to Bungalow 8. more

Pink Elephant Wannabes 1/22/2008

Ok, I am all for taking something else and making it better. But when you take something else and make it the same or worse, it doesn't jibe. It seems as though some disgruntled ex-Pink Elephant staff, promoters or something basically trying to redo what has already been done but not nearly as good and the feel is very "made up". More like Kiss and RUN. Or Kiss and smell? It smells REALLY bad in there! Aer was better then this! Pros: Hot bartenders Cons: Skanky Waitresses and recycled staff more

JOKE! 1/22/2008

What a joke. Imposters. Doormen are euro trash to say least! Ugly crowd inside. OVER PRICED! Music was just plain AWFUL. Hurt to listen . Sound system was below par even if the music was good. I could have sworn I heard the same DJ play the same IPOD set he recorded from another club the week before! Pros: absolutely not one Cons: every possible downside to a club. It wont make it to labor day more

Bottle service and reservations are the way of things at Kiss & Fly, a nightclub with a European art-nouveau feel in Aer's old location.

Owner Message
  • Since December 2007, Kiss & Fly has been catering to the jet set crowd, bringing a unique lifestyle destination to Manhattan. Kiss & Fly is an unprecedented nightclub that combines extraordinary d?cor with an unbeatable sound system and world renowned DJs. The d?cor mixes Roman accents with modern lighting and d?cor to create a beautiful elegant atmosphere. Each night at Kiss & Fly starts of as a lounge with soft jazz music and slowly transitioning into a nightclub complete with 250 strobe lights and high energy Euro house music. This 5,000 square foot hotspot has a 500 person capacity and is laid out to accommodate events of all sizes.

Editorial
  • Though a reservation at Kiss & Fly (formerly club Aer) may not guarantee you'll be speedily whisked inside, it should garner some attention from the league of security personnel at the door--themselves busy wrangling a crush of tall Europeans vying for entry. Inside, a curved, elevated bar and banquettes create the illusion of a sunken dance floor, along with ample seating and a vantage point from which to see and be seen--provided the overeager smoke machine allows. For those seeking access to the roped-off VIP area, bottle service is the name of the game, while de facto VIPs enthrone themselves inside the curving dome (known as the Temple) just off the dance floor.

Hits: The art nouveau-inspired decor beckons dancers to the table-tops and lends the space an aura of indulgence and free-wheeling decadence.

Misses: Should you need a break from the thudding international dance music, your only options are to shiver on the smoker's veranda or take refuge in the restroom.
