Went out for Girls Night Out last night. One of my girlfriends has a connection at Kiss & Fly, so I figured I would go with the flow and enjoy a fun evening of dancing and drinking. We went around midnight, and didn't have to wait at the door, which was a HUGE plus. There must have been 100+ people waiting outside like a bunch of schmucks. Why do people do this to themselves? I wish I could have told them then that it was definitely NOT worth it. Inside the atmosphere at first had a fun vibe from the devil/angel theme going on. There were hot go-go dancers, and a mix of model-types and chiseled Euro dudes. But overall, a closer look at most of the patrons revealed they were either A) 50+ year old men trying to dance, or B) average "Bro/I got a new haircut" type guys in Armani Exchange shirts and wannabe models in prostitute-style outfits. No bother, I was there to dance with my girlfriends. Too bad the DJ was sub-par and played from what sounded like an iPod mix. Nothing flowed, there were way too many slow points where dancers just sort of stopped and looked around, and I swear he played "Rhythm is a Dancer." And I had to deal with lots of people on the dance floor waving their stinky cigarettes inches from my face. Gross. What's up with the busboys picking up half-full drinks from tabletops? I don't know how people can pay $500 for bottle service when the reserved areas are tiny and very close together. But I did have more than one guy brag to me about his job on Wall Street (am I supposed to be impressed, do*che-bag?) , so I guess $500 is chump change. Also had to deal with all kinds of greasy guys trying to put their hands all over me & my friends. Blech. I would never go back, even with my connection and free drinks. I would say save your time and money, but I know the people who go to places like Kiss & Fly on purpose don't really care what reviews say. You've been warned.
