I gave it an avrege rating I never went in there, and I saw it the day we went next door to the french house. this japanese buffet is CLOSED for ever. they are no longer in besinuess. I saw a sign on the window, but I can tell you whats coming soon instead. Belive it or not I saw a baner that say COMING SOON PALIO'S PIZZA AND ITALIAN GRILL. they have 4 locations in Houston and 9 in Dallas. it's going to be Good, I have reviewd palio's pizza before thay are very good, excellant pizza and pasta and the sandwices are the best. looking forward to see Palio's Pizza in this great locations. more

I think this restaurant is closed. 9/25/2007

I just chose an average rating because I wanted to inform future Citysearch users that this restaurant may be closed. I drove by it the other day and it looked like the space is for lease/sale. more

HORRIBLE 2/20/2007

Worse sushi buffet I have ever had. I realize that quality is compromised when you go to a sushi buffet, but this was ridiculous. You're better off eating grocery store sushi in a plastic box. My boyfriend and I left this place very UNPLEASANTLy surprised...stale rolls, rubber tasting fish, and a very basic selection. Pros: Service is average Cons: The horrible, low-grade sushi. more

SUSHI LOVERS DREAM 1/9/2007

For those that love sushi and just can't get enough this is the place to go. Within 2 visits the staff knew I liked low sodium soy and made sure to bring a bottle to my table. The staff is courteous and attentive without being over bearing. The sushi bar has a wonderful selection and some things I had never tried before. I never thought of eating at a ""buffet"" sushi place. I tried Todai when they first opened, they were okay but quickly went downhill. I only tried Kirin One because I didn't know where I was going. NOW, I can't get enough and I frequent several times a month. I am impressed with the cleaniness of the restaurant and the quality and quantity of the food. It always smells fresh, no greasy cooked fish smells. Pros: Everything else Cons: Parking more

Don't go 11/12/2006

I hate to say anything bad about an establishment, but I hope I could save some others the heartache and stomach ache. this was definitely a bad choice. we got sick immediately after eating here. the quality and selection of the food was very low. there was not enough sushi out on the buffet line, and items such as jello and fruits which should have been kept cold were not. Fried items such as the fried rice and tempura or meat items were soggy and very very oily. we could not believe that they charge 12.95 (we went for lunch on the weekend)) and up when they really shouldn't have even charge above 4.95 for this type of quality. there were flies on the potatoe salad and the dessert cakes. we will definitely not be coming back here, and we should have never strayed from todai. It is sad that i have to say anything bad about any restaurant, but we really did have a terrible experience here. I actually was really excited to go and try there since they had a decent website with pictures and the reviews here on citysearch was good. I don't know if it was just bad luck or what, but I never felt so disatisfied after leaving a restaurant. The food made us sick, we were ripped off, and way way way overcharged. we dedfinitely won't be coming back there, and would make sure our friends don't go to keep them from getting sick. Pros: easy parking and location Cons: terrible food and quality, got sick more

Freshest Sushi In Town 8/29/2005

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical when I heard Sushi Buffet, but I'm glad stopped in. They have the freshest sushi in town by far. More than 10 different kinds of rolls and everyone of them is great! Try the Shrimp Tempura rolls, AWSOME! I eat there at least once a week. Their service is tough to beat too. Their wait staff is already bringing you what you need before you get the chance to ask. Cant beat it, especially for the price. Pros: Freshness, Price, Service more

fun 2/7/2003

if you like sushi, this the place. if you have never tried eating sushi, this is definitely the place to start. there is such a large variety of different dishes from chicken teriyaki, tempura, udon, and snow crab legs to different kinds of sushi. even handrolls and sashimi. all are on the buffet. this is unbelieveable. i don't see how they make money. all you can eat for under $20. if you haven't tried it, i would suggest you do. Pros: quality, inexpensive more

Good food. Below Average Service 2/3/2003

This is one of the better sushi deal in the Houston area that I've found. What they have on the buffet is pretty good, but your selection of sushi is limited to just 7-8 sushi platters, which is not bad. The service can use more improvement. The workers there is authentically Asian, which means they may care about the food they make, but very little about the customer. I go back for the food every once in a long while. But the bad service keeps me away from making it a favorite. Pros: Food quality Cons: Parking, Service more

decent sushi buffet 1/12/2003

If you like fresh sashimi then come here for the dinner buffet.. They also have snow crab legs, raw oysters, and all sorts of sushi rolls. It is $18.95 for dinner.. IMO, if you're gonna spend 19 bucks on sushi you might as well goto Cafe Japon.. it tastes much better there. more

Always a joy to dine 7/3/2002

We eat here often as the food is always prepared right and fresh . I don't think the difference in dinner and lunch menus justifies the price but it's still a good bargain . Make sure to try the spinach seafood soup . A really nicely run all you can place . more

Biggest Bang for the Buck + Good food 6/4/2002
