Kirby's Sports Bar

I go to Kirby’s with co-workers on occasion to relax and unwind and it’s the perfect place to do just that the bartenders are defiantly HOT and a lot of fun, I’ve always had good service so no complaint there but as I said in the “cons” the prices are a little high. you know it's funny, reading all the reviews about Kirby's, there are things I can relate to and things that can happen anywhere you go. Not to mention the last review was quite some time ago. in the last few months I have seen so many positive things and changes in kirbys. they have added an outdoor smoking patio to accommodate the indoor smoking patio, most of the place is remodeled, there is nintendo wii, play station 3, a ton of flat screens with all the sports and then some, yummy snacks, hot and fast bartenders. its awesome because they pretty much have a completely new staff. they have brought bartenders over from coaches and mojo's (which are high volume bars), so you dont have to wait for a drink. the guys at the door are great about keeping out "the crowd" that use to cause fights over there. it's really changed for the best. i feel safe, comfortable and always have a really good time when i go there. the staff is nice, hot, fast and they take care of their customers. there is pool, darts, beer pong, you name it. it has stepped WAY up from being labeled as a dive bar! hope to see you there. I went in after work with a few of my co-workers..it took forever just to get a drink and the bar wasn't even that busy..it didn't help that the bartender working that evening was so drunk she wasn't any help..the bathrooms were disgusting the men hanging out there were rude and disrespectful..It was an overall gross place to hangout..I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The other day I was driving around looking for a place to stop to have a few drinks before my dinner date. I came across a fenominal bar on Fremont Blvd...Kirbys Sports Bar. There are 21 LCD's all in HD, a Smoke room for all you smokers who hate to miss your show to go outside. Great Food an mini-indoor stadium to watch or play games on, Madden Contests, Dart League and much more. The crowd is mixed with both professionals and locals who all seem to know eachother which creates a safe atmosphere for all. It was so much fun, the DJ that night was great and I met some chicks and just couldnt stop dancing. The drink prices were extremely reasonable and the food portion sizes were as well. This is a place you wished you found sooner. Went there with a sports nut, she loved it. It is a real bar, open with great choices and they cater to real people. Heck they even have a HD TV above the urinal so you don't miss a play. Everyone we met was into a good time. The place is varied enough that any sports nut can find their niche. They have dancing when you want it. Pool when you want it. If you don't have a good time you are a troll. The usual bar food, parking is good. For smokers they have your place and the folks who would get on your case can't, i don't smoke. They are part of the community, not a dive where people hide from life. I went here on a Friday night and the atmosphere was great, the people and the staff seemed to all know eachother... Very good place for a social atmosphere, its loaded with high definition LCDs throughout the entire bar. Theres an area that you can smoke in, still have your drink and watch the TVs that are playing all different sports channels. They will put the TV on any game you want and serve great food. I had the Tri Tip sandwich and it was great. The choice of alcohol seemed limitless and the games( pool tables, dart boards) are a good addition to friendly games. Its recently remodeled and looks great.. Definitely a place I will going back to often.... And the important thing, the drink prices are way more reasonable than almost all of the bars I have ever gone to.... More drinks for les money! FANTASTIC neighborhood sports bar. 22 large/new LCD TV's, with portable speakers at your table. Many draft beer selections, lots of vodkas, tequilas, etc. Food is good (healthy portions). Staff very helpfull, Kirby's shows every game of every sport there is. Bathrooms recently remodeled, making bar much bigger. Outdoor/enclosed patio with 10 LCD TV's for smokers. Jukebox selection seems limitless, fun place to play darts or pool. Surprised they had the "Golf Channel",& "Criquet Channel" as well as Baseball packages and Football packages (college also) and basketball packages. Prices are very reasonable, everyone seems to know everyone. This is the place to be on Sunday football and I am told the madness begins in march for both St Paddy's Day and College Hoops. This is the place to hang out for sporting event, keraoke, tabletop games and get to gethers with friends. If you are a smoker ,they do have an inclosed patio with 7 TV's to watch events on while you smoke. The Bartenders are very friendly and helpful. They mix some mean drinks. This is a medium/larger size bar with lots of games like darts, pinball, etc along the back. A number of sporting matches are on a number of TV's around the room, so it almost has the feel of a sport bar, rather than a saloon. Nice, friendly staff/clean place. Crowd during happy hour was 30'-40's, with a mixed group of professional and blue collar people... The have some sort of covered patio area with tables on the side. I don't think you can smoke out there, but I didn't really check it out. It seemed like most people come here with friends or even groups of friends...there was only 2 or 3 other people that came alone... more
