The food was very good, as was the service. There are many vegetarian and vegan options. I definitely...

Worst

I've visited Kinh Do a couple times now and I don't see or feel anything spcecial about this place like my counterpart does. The string beans are okay, but they're nothing to jum...

Yummy Vietnamese/Asian 6/2/2005

My brother and I were looking for a good inexpensive place to chow down and I took him to Kinhdo. We loved our waitress, who was speedy and adorable as well as efficient. Our Spring Roll appetizer was excellent (as always). And we had one pork and one shrimp entree, both of which were outstanding. I've always had good food and service at this location and my brother thought it was one of the best places he'd eaten (visiting from Philadelphia). Pros: Good Food, Pleasant Servers, Reasonably Priced Cons: Can be long waits more

Rockin Pho 2/3/2005

I have to say now living in Los Angeles, I have access to what should be some of the finest Vietnamese restaurants there are in the US. However I always return back to MN to Kinh-Do, my favorite PHO and those cream cheese wontons, Lordy have mercy! Check it out, you can't go wrong, and the price is right :) Mystie more

I went to kinhdo for the first time today, and I fell in love!!! The food is amazing! I was amazed at all the choices that they had to offer. I had the pad thai and it was absolutely wonderful. My husband had the string bean dish with chicken which was recommended by the waitress. I love the atmosphere. Even though it was our first time, the staff made us feel like we were regulars! I'll recommed this place to anyone! Pros: food, service, atmosphere more

oooh sooo good 5/12/2004

I've been here several times this month and every time the food gets better and better. My favorites here are the Pad Thai (best in town) and the Beef with Potatoes. I also like their bubble teas too - mango to be precise. The service wasn't bad either for I had a couple of waiters served me. I'd recommend it to anyone that loves Asian food. Pros: atmosphere, food more

Good food - lousy service 4/10/2004

04/2004 - So we tried it again-twice as it happens, and again were very disappointed. Pros: food, price Cons: service more

Large vegetarian menu 7/19/2003

I'm a vetgetarian and it's so hard to find an Asian restaurant that caters to us until I found Kinhdo. The first time I went here, I was amazed at the selections they had on their vegetarian menu. If you're in the Uptown area you might want to stop by here or even in the Minneapolis are for that matter. I've tried their mock duck with potatoes and it was very tasty. I also liked their mock duck pad thai also. Pros: vegetatian food, open feel Cons: too far away more

For whatever its worth, I love it here 7/16/2003

From my experience, the food here had always been great. I wouldn't say Kinhdo is a fusion restaurant. It does however, have a lot of dishes from different Asian cultures (not sure what American dishes are here that vubu talks about because I don't see any on the menu). Yo've got to try it for yourself because these are just my comments. BTW, try the beef with potatoes dish because it's grrrrreeeeaaattt. Pros: food, service, food more

Good restaurant 7/14/2003

Kinhdo is one of the best vietnamese restaurants in MN. I just visited last week and I liked it very much. The service, the food, the place are awesome. I recommend it to everyone Pros: good food, nice place, good service Cons: parking more

I love this place! 6/2/2003

I really love this place. If I can eat out everyday then this would be the place that I'd go. I don't think MinCritic understands what Kinhdo is. It's not just a vietnamese restaurant but a Chinese and Thai restaurant as well. I've had the pad thai there and it's much better than Sawatee's. The hot and spicy chicken is the best around and the egg rolls are to die for. As you can tell I love this place! You should try kinhdo if you haven't already. Pros: food, service, atmosphere more

Nothing Special 5/29/2003

I've visited Kinh Do a couple times now and I don't see or feel anything spcecial about this place like my counterpart does. The string beans are okay, but they're nothing to jump up and down about. Overall, the food is decent but there are lots of other restaurants that serve better Vietnamese. more

Nice Variety 5/28/2003

Kinh Do's got good food, inexpensive, and they got a good variety. I especially like the family deals. more

I wished I lived in Uptown... 5/14/2003

I used to live in the Uptown area and now I'm living in Duluth - transferred to the U there if you want to know The one thing that I miss after moving here is Kinhdo and the great food there. I miss eating the mock duck with potatoes along with all the other vegetarian dishes they had on their menu - all are good I assure you. Another good dish is the one with the black bean sauce. If you live in the cities you might want to check this place out because it's definitely a place that you need to try. Pros: food, portions, friendly service Cons: distance from Duluth more

simply the best! 5/12/2003

you must try their beef with potatoes -- i know it doesn't sound like much but it's simply spectacular! thinly sliced potatoes, golden and crisp with a wonderfully sweet and tangy sauce. i order this dish everytime i go to kinhdo and it simply never dissappoints! Pros: delicious, cheap, gourmet Cons: busy more

Great Time 5/11/2003

My wife and I live in the Uptown area and weekly stop by Kinhdo for a meal or two. We absolutely love the food there along with the eating environment. If I had to say what my favorite dish is, it's either the Hot & Spicy Chicken or the newly added String Bean dishes, but mostly everything is very good there. I also thought the service was fine and adequate because whenever we're there, there are always 2-3 servers around. Overall, my wife and I love the place! Pros: Great food, Outdoor dining, romantic lighting more
