Kings Ct Frankfurters Express

When I went to Kings Court I thought: ""What the hell?""\r You don't expect to go into a place like this in San Antonio. Upon walking in this really cheery guy was dancing or something and greeted me in a genuine manner, which is odd because I'm not used to anyone really doing anything but taking my orders. Anyway this dude proceeds to pick on me about not knowing anything about hot dogs, which is kind of my fault because I didn't take time to read his menu...?\r But I'm glad he did because I walked in expecting a chili dog and this place is chalk full of great and original ideas including a bar you can add all types of relishes to your dog. I for one am not a hot dog fan, but everyone has been cheering for this place since it opened so I thought I would give it a try.\r \r Thank god that dude kind of ""forced"" me to try something new which I didn't like too much, but yet can't help but want to thank him in a way...? I found out he is the owner and I think he's a bit more passionate about getting people to try his food than let them order what they want and I can't tell if that is good or not.\r BUT with strange combinations of these dogs are really worth going out for and seeing for yourself. Simply because this left an impression on me, I thought this deserves 5 Stars for originality, wierder than usual service and taste because the dogs were absolutely awesome!\r I'll definitley be paying them a visit soon! I didn't care for my visit to King's Court. They are quite pretentious, and sort of snickered at us just for trying to clarify an order (acting like we couldn't hear what they said). I thought the variety was awesome, but when I tried the hot dog, it was bland, the toppings weren't exciting (I like my vegetables to be crispy, but mine were squishy, like school cafeteria or hospital veggies). I know that a lot of people like this place, but it just didn't feel special and I felt I could make better tasting and fresher hot dogs at home easily.
