King's is the epicenter of the raleigh rock scene sans snobbery. Complete with pool tables, old school video games, cheap beer, and now mixed drinks and oodles of local, regional, and national bands it truly is a great hangout. Each night varies as much as the musical act that is performing--I've seen everything from indie rock to reggae, hip hop and even some movies and comedy acts. Their annual Gong Show is always a riot. Even if you don't know what is going on that night at the club, its fun just to relax at the bar or in one of the comfy banquettes. A recent remodeling has made it even cozier. This place is so unprentious, a rariety in the triangle--you can come in dolled up or slobbed out, because no one really cares about anything there, except having a good time. Check it out!
