Kim's Tailor Bridal & Formal

I was referred to Kim's Tailor Bridal & Formal by EIGHT of my neighbors when I sent out an email to the neighborhood asking for a good tailor in North Raleigh......I saw a negative review online, but.......it didn't seem logical that EIGHT of my neighbors would recommend Kim's and give such positive comments.......well.....my neighbors were right......Kim was pleasant, professional, and accomodated my need for a ""rush"" job!! I had two tuxedos altered for my sons. The price was reasonable and perfectly in line with other Tailor shops. I certainly will use Kim's for any alterations that I may need in the future! I made the mistake of taking a dress in there and not asking for the price in advance. I am a seamstress and had already altered my dress but the part of my sewing machine that makes a simple hem has been lost and I took my dress to Kim's. HUGE MISTAKE! Again, the hem had already been cut and all it needed was to be sewn around the bottom. Simple right???? I went to pick up the dress and tho it wasnt ready when I went to pick it up she told me to come back in 30 minutes. I came back and the dress was finished. She handed me a bill for 55.00. I said ""Are you kidding me,I cut the hem off myself all you did was stitch around the bottom."" She said okay 45.00. I laughed and she told me I cut it wrong and she had to do it again. Okay, again I am a seamstress. She began to yell and told me not to come back again and proceeded to charge my credit card 45.00. She had my dress, I had no choice. I will never go back there again. more
