We ate at Mama Kim's in downtown Charleston while on vacation. We have eaten at good Korean restaurants before but this was the best! Mama Kim herself came to the table and pamper...

Best Korean Food and Excellent service 7/2/2011

We ate at Mama Kim's in downtown Charleston while on vacation. We have eaten at good Korean restaurants before but this was the best! Mama Kim herself came to the table and pampered us by serving the food, telling funny stories about spicy food and joked around with our teenage children. Overall this was a great experience. We would recommend this restaurant to anybody!! more

My ""hands Down"" Favorite Restaurant 10/26/2010

Kim's is my favorite restuarant! I have been going there for many years- it is truly one of the most missed since moving from West Ashley to Summerville! But I still get there as often as I possibly can! \r \r You can not beat the hospitality, fun atmosphere & the DELICIOUS food! The sushi is awesome too! I have been to many japanese restaurants & no one comes close! It never fails, I always compare them to Kim's!\r \r If you are looking to experience Japanese/ Korean cuisine- go nowhere else! I ate there last night, and had a blast! Oh, I almost forgot to mention- no one can beat the early bird specials! Mon- Thurs $10 for either steak & shrimp, chicken & shrimp or chicken & steak! more

Great Korean and Japanese 8/8/2008

This restaurant has the most authentic Korean food in the Charleston area. I've been there for both the Korean and Teppenyaki Japanese and both were good experiences. The food is of high quality and the service is very friendly. The Japanese is recommended if you want some hilarious entertainment with dinner as well. Pros: Good Prices, No waiting, Friendly Staff more

Just can't go there enough! 5/10/2006

The food is the simply the best around. Huge servings. Very tastey. Casual. And there is always a chance you'll be seated with another fun party at the hibachi bars. Pros: great food, good service, plenty of parking more
