Kilkennys Irish Pub Best in Tulsa 5/5/2008

Kilkennys Irish Pub was a great dining experience. The decor was designed and built in Ireland and has an Authentic Irish pub feeling to it. The menu is very large and will accommodate everyone. The menu has your Traditional Irish favorites. Fish & Chips, Cottage Pie, Corned Beef & Cabbage and Bangers & Mash. Some other highlights on the menu are the Cedar Plank Salmon, a fresh piece of Salmon smoked on top of a cedar plank, the Kilkenny Bake, a mixture of lobster, shrimp and crab in a creamy white wine sauce topped with mashed potatoes and baked golden brown. These are just a couple of my favorites. They also have one of the best hamburgers in Tulsa. Kilkennys also has a full bar with a large selection of single malt scotches and all of your favorite Irish whiskeys. They also have a great selection of imported draft beer with ?The Best Guinness in town?. The service was excellent and the rest of the staff was just friendly people who made our experience even more enjoyable. I would recommend Kilkennys Irish Pub to everyone. Pros: Great Food and Service Cons: Parking is an issue but worth the trouble. more

Loads of atmosphere, good food -- and it's FUN! 3/2/2007

Kilkenny's has been a traditional after-rehearsal haunt for members of my church's choir for several years. Probably the main reason is they have good food, reasonably priced, and an extensive selection of beers. They also have loads of Irish atmosphere and shun the cookie-cutter approach of chain restaurants. Your best bet food-wise would be the Irish standards. I particularly enjoy the Fish and Chips, served up piping hot and usually grease-free. The traditional Irish breakfast is always a good bet, too, as are the Boxtys. Some of my compatriots speak highly of the Irish Stew and Shepherd's Pie, neither of which I have ever had. I've had some good burgers as well. For the appetizers, I like the smoked salmon best, and the steamed shrimp are usually a good bet. The Reuben Rolls appetizer (corned beef, sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing encased by Phyllo pastry) are more unusual-and very good. Less successful are the oyster appetizers (save the freshly shucked raw oysters on the half shell, which are excellent when they're available) and the crab cakes, which are more filler than crab. I'm not much of one for sweets, but I have enjoyed Irish Balloons, which are fried puffballs dusted with powdered sugar and served with Irish whiskey butter sauce. Kilkenny's has a full bar, featuring 16 brands of bottled beer, 20-oz. Imperial pints of draft beer (including the best and most popular Irish brews), as well as Irish whiskeys, single malt Scotch, wines, and the other standard spirits. They don't serve frozen drinks, though-your Margarita will have to be "on the rocks." Service is friendly and (usually) efficient. Try to get Gayle-she's the friendliest and best of the servers. Be aware that if you're with a group, the food may take a long time in arriving, but you will be given warm, fresh bread & whipped butter to tide you over. However, when I dine by myself food usually apprears promptly. Pros: Good Irish food, good price, great selection of beers, great atmosphere Cons: Can be noisy, food can take awhile to arrive if you're with a group more

True Irish grub 1/30/2007

if you want some authentic, artery-clogging Irish food, this is the place! I will eat the extra calories and fat because it is simply the best. They really try to serve authentic Irish food. Place is not too large, but there is a seperate room to escape the noise and seat larger parties. I love the pub decorations, makes it feel like a real irish style pub! fish and Chips..need I more! My Dad loves the bangers and mash! Also an awesome weekend hangout with lots of beers on tap. Pros: Ambience, food Cons: parking is hard to come by ,noisy at times, not kid friendly more

Atmosphere, great for groups, awesome customer service 7/19/2006

I've been coming to Kilkenny's for about 2 years now and each time is just as good (if not better) than the last. The atmosphere is about as close to authentic Ireland as you can get. The food is amazing. I have yet to be dissapointed. St. Patrick's Day is always a great experience with games, songs, and lots of drinking. I recommend this for the party goer or the person looking for a nice dinner with their significant other. Pros: Ambience, food, service Cons: Parking more

The BEST Irish Pub in TULSA! Very authentic and delicious! 6/23/2006

Fantastic! Atmosphere amazing, food delicious and desserts are divine! Service is the best I've seen in a long time and very friendly & knowledgeable. Found the parking to be fine and not a problem ... plenty of it behind & around the pub. Lot's of ale's to choose from - Irish brands galore! Been several times and l love fish & chips, box T's (sp?), pasta ... burgers, reuben's are great, too! I can't seem to venture onto other items. Brunch is awesome! All in all, this restaurant/pub is one of my favorites! Pros: Atmosphere, service, FOOD Cons: Always crowded more

Great Fairly New Bar and Resturant 5/28/2003

Great Irish Pub on Cherry street. A fun bar with a friendly atmosphere and nicely done inside and out. The food matches the decor, Irish. If you like Irish food it's great! Great to take a group to, fun atmosphere and fast service. It gets more crowded as the night goes on and makes for a good time with a small group. It's also right across the street from Grey Snail. Pros: Nice Atmospere, Friendly place, Nice people Cons: Parking more
