I was disappointed with the food, service and price. The salmon was tough, the wait for an order to go is disorganized and long and the price for a Spider roll is significantly h...

Bad service... Rude manager 12/12/2002

The food was okay, nothing special. The service was bad. The manager was very rude. I wouldn't go there anymore. Cons: Bad service, Rude manager more

Yummy Sushi 11/19/2002

My wife and I had an enjoyable and delicious meal while sitting at the sushi bar on a slow Monday night. The sushi chef was helpful to a sushi neophyte like myself, meanwhile, our waitress was friendly and efficient. My only problem was deciphering the accents of the sushi chef and our waitress, but my wife had no difficulty. For the most part, we ordered off of the daily sushi specials menu. I enjoyed the tuna loin, salmon, mackeral, and lobster sushi. The green tea ice cream was delicious and a fitting end to a delightful meal. Pros: Great view, Good service, Sushi more

food/dish was not fresh! 11/15/2002

Rice was too hard and not fresh. Raw fish seemed too old to eat as Sashimi. The number of customers was declining. Many Japanese are saying bad things about Kikugawa these days.. What's happen to Kikugawa?? If Kikugawa serves old sushi, they should change the price! It is too expensive for such low quality dishes! more

Sushi taste great!! 10/30/2002

Great sushi, authentic taste! Service is good, although sometimes really slow when it's packed. Don't forget to try the desert Green Tea Tempura ice cream....it's a must! But be prepared to drain your wallet coz it's kinda expensive. I usually spend $20-25 incl. some sushi, ice cream, + tips But it's worth it for once a month treat. more

Great sushi! 9/15/2002

Sushi was excellent - especially the halibut, although it wasn't cheap. Also the soups they cook in front of you are good too. Th window tables provide a nice view. Pros: good sushi, nice views, good service Cons: somewhat expensive more

Not Impressed 9/15/2002

The atmosphere looked like Denny's, it smelled like McDonald's, the service was slow and the sushi was below average. Pros: river view, immediate seating Cons: atmosphere, sushi quality, slow service more

Tango this! 8/8/2002

If you're into feeling trendy and looking trendy, eat at one of the many other bandwagon sushi joints in the city. If you're a true sushi goer, Kikugawa is the only place you should be. The sushi chefs are actually trained in the art and not former bus boys who started cutting fish for $9/hour. more

Disappointed 5/19/2002

I was disappointed with the food, service and price. The salmon was tough, the wait for an order to go is disorganized and long and the price for a Spider roll is significantly higher than most sushi restaurant in the Twin Cities and not nearly as good. I would definitely like to come back but the food, service and price need to be looked at. more
