Theres one girl that works here and she 6/8/2012

Theres one girl that works here and she turns down all your stuff. She never smiles and is miserable..but the rest of the staff is friendly and helpful. Trust me youll notice her as soon as you walk in the place. All the clothes I bring in are from gymboree and shes the only one that turns them down all of them down. You should see the clothing there..pulls and rags and she turns down my brand new looking gymboree outfits. lolll i dont get it. I would recommend that you call and ask if they are in need of your baby items before dragging them there esp incase you encounter the miserable one. I havent brought anything here or bought anything here in a long time because of her. Last time i was there...they accepted my bouncy seat and that woman still tried to talk them into not taking it and I opened my mouth and freaked out so they still agreed to take it ...Idk what her problem is but she needs to get fired. hopefully if you go youll get the sweet old lady! Shes the best! more

Don't worry Kid to Kid we've got your back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4/1/2011

I've been shopping at Kid to Kid for 13 years, almost since they first opened. I went on citysearch the other day to look up a resaurant and came accross some reviews about my favorite store. I was truely shocked, I'm wondering if they are all shopping in the same store my friends and I are. I have NEVER had a bad experience at Kid to Kid. I always find exactly what I'm looking for and if I don't I go back a day or two later and usually find it, and more. Since I have been shopping there the prices have stayed very reasonable and constant, I can't say that for any other store I shop in especially with this economy. Who would expect any store not to make a profit how ridiculous is it for someone to suggest otherwise. In reading other people's negetive comments I am completely disgusted by the lack of respect and the name calling. These girls and women who work in this store are nothing but nice and extremely helpful and if they fight with customers its only because the customer usually provokes it. The customers want a big payout. Really, you expect $5.00 for a target t shirt? As I am writing this I find i am getting more upset with the ignorance of my fellow consumers. Really do you expect the workers not to eat lunch? Don't worry kid to kid we've got your back!!!!! more

Horrible place , customer service is awful! 8/5/2008

I have shopped at Kid to Kid for years, and to be fair you can at times find good deals on clothing when they have their 25-50 percent off sales. However I will never shop there again. My first bad experience was when I had brought in clothes and baby equipment to be sold . They accepted about 20 outfits (6 of which still had the tags on) a exercsaucer, a bouncy seat and a bottle warmer. They offered my eighteen dollars in cash, or 20% more in store credit. I was floored, or should I say robbed, but I was only going to donate the stuff anyway so I accepted the money. Flash forward three years later and I found myself pregnant again. To save money I would stop in now and then and look for bargains. I was in there last Friday with my three children and wanted to purchase a push-car. I asked them to hold it for me , So I could get my larger car, which would be Sat or Sun. The woman said no problem took my name and number wrote in on a hold slip and put it on the car. I went back on Sunday only to find that the store was closed, which the woman never mentioned to me. I went back Monday morning about 25 minutes after they had opened. To find out that they had just sold my car. No Sorry or anything just a cocky response when I asked why put something on hold if your going to just sell it to anyone. I got four different answers, one was when we put things on hold it is only for the day. Which was not the case the woman had told me she could hold it for a day or two. Another was If someone really wants something and it is on hold we usually sell it. When I asked why they didn't call me Monday morning to see why I hadn't come in to get it, I was told we don't call anyone thats not up to us, they why I asked did you take my name and phone number and put it on the toy? They just looked at me. In a nutshell the help are rude, impatient and a bunch of idiots. They rip you off, and nobody there has a clue. more

donate to charity better deal. 3/13/2008

Before visiting the Drexel Hill kid to kid store On March 7,2008. I went to their website to view the procedure for selling items. The site read that only toys in gift giving condition and high in clothing are accepted. Well, I gathered all of the excellent condition fisher price and leap frog learning toys my 2 yr old had. Her age should speak for itself, the toys were handeled by adults during teaching time. I sold about 15 toys, which included working batteries. When I arrived at the store, the store manager wasn't very customer friendly he was made aware that this was my first time with disregard he rushed me along picking out the toys while tossing them from my box into their basket. ""No this wont sell, no we dont need this okay we'll take this and call you later"". I was stunned. Well I did receive a call Sat afternoon stating that I will be paid $10. I disagreed with this amt. I called the store back immediately during business hours, I was forwarded to the answering machine 3xs, I then emailed the company to request a pick up of the items.I would have felt better donating and then claiming on my taxes. I received a call that monday stating too late items on the shelf. Oh not to mention you only have 3 days to pick up your money or you will get store credit only. when I went to pick up my millions I looked to see what my items were being sold for, well lets just say Kid to Kid will make $70 off of all the items I sold them and yes I made $10 (boy was that a steal Literally) Heck of a mark up huh. well needless to say I wont allow myself to be robbed again. One of lifes learning lessons. Pros: great concept Cons: does not pay enough for the hi end items requested. more

Best Customer service and selection. Very Kid Friendly! 6/19/2007

Because a friend had recommended highly, I decided to go to Kid to Kid one day with all three kids (ages 8, 6, and 3). With all three kids in tow, I was sort of dreading the shopping experience. You know how kids can be in some stores. I was also skeptical because I had never shopped in a resale or consignment store. I always bought my kids' stuff new. Pros: Parking, Staff, Hair accessories Cons: Not enough selection of Boys' stuff more

It's okay - average selection and some rare deals 10/17/2006

They're a little over priced and you definately won't get the best deals. I've had better luck at one day consignment sales sponsored by local MOMs clubs or at other stores. Their selection is average. However, it's worth a trip from time to time because you might luck out. Pros: Some neat new toys are also stocked Cons: Prices are a little higher than other consignment stores. Selection in certain areas weak. more
