This is an excellent moving company and moving service. We organized moving 20 boxes of clothing, books and toys and some furniture from NYC to a major German city. The communications coming from the company were detailed, responsive, quick and helpful. The movers did a great job, did not do any damage, were on time and fast. The final price was exactly as proposed before. The travel time of the stuff on the boat over the atlantic was well within the projected time frame. The counterparts/partners of this service in Europe were also of outstanding quality and very responsive and well organized. All the stuff arrived in fine and undamaged conditions. The delivery crew was great and helpful and fast. This is an excellent choice, this is a 100% reliable service, and the price was reasonable and competitive. Just moved from Brooklyn, NY to Miami, FL with Key Moving and cannot say enough great things! All I heard about was the "moving nightmares" from other people. There was enough "moving" stress for myself & fiance, I did not want any added stress from the moving company that I chose. Well, that's exactly what happened! The dollar quote was honest, exact and no "games". The crew in NY was polite, on time and extremely efficient. In Miami I experienced the same qualities with the Florida crew. I was updated on the status of the arrival time and the truck arrived at my new location right on time. Everything was moved into the apartment and put into the proper rooms in a timely manner. All the cartons & items were numbered and checked off. Well needless to say, everything arrived in perfect condition, nothing broken! This review is long, long overdue. We hired Key Moving and Storage to move us from Philadelphia to Brooklyn a couple of months ago, after careful research and quite a few conversations with several different moving companies. The reviews were helpful, but I still went more with a hunch. I just felt more comfortable and more confident that our move would be trouble free with Key Moving and Storage. They also quoted me a rate that was far lower than other companies. (more on that in a bit) My hunch was right on. The movers, Jaime and crew, arrived right on time -- bright and early and in a terrific mood the day of our move. Immediately they put us at ease - despite being a little taken aback by how much stuff we had to move although I had taken great (I'd say, excessive care in measuring our furniture and belongings) They packed us up within a couple of hours, and had us on our way -- they and we headed up to NYC. They assured me that we would get everything done that day and they held their part of the bargain. They arrived at this end with an extra helper, just to make sure that everything got unpacked in a timely fashion. If I wasn't a fan already, I became one in the hours that followed. They didn't balk at the fact that our living room was indeed three floors up or at the staircases which indeed seemed to narrow for our furniture. They were determined AND managed to find some way -- some magical way -- to get everything in, undamaged. We couldn't believe their inventiveness, patience, professionalism and good cheer. In the end the move came out to be more expensive than we had been told -- quite a bit more (perhaps a third more) which makes me wonder about how to estimate better in the future. But we were so pleased with the service, that we would use Scott and Key Moving again in a heartbeat. more

After my last experience with a Moving company I wasn't excited about moving again, I actually thought about handling this move myself with a couple of friends and renting a U-Haul. But the thought of moving my goods out of a 4 story walk-up changed my mind quickly. So this time I did my homework and searched for a company that would stand behind what they actually offered. Armed with reviews and BBB recommendations, I called 4 companies here in the NYC. Most I spoke with were all friendly, and provided me with interesting quotes and facts. There was something different with the customer service, and information I recieved when calling Key Moving. My rep took his time and asked questions that others didn't. He took his time and explained the whole process, how the move is charged, and what I should expect . Fastward to moving day. 1. My moving crew showed up at 9 AM sharp, and the Foreman introduce himself and the crew. 2.The guys went straight to work, disassembling furniture, wrapping and protecting my goods, up and downstairs, I tried to help, but was told to let the professionals handle their jobs. 8 hrs later, and 2 hrs more time than had been estimated ( my fault, I way underestimated how many boxes I would have when I started planning this move) all of my things were reassembled placed where I requested all with boxes. I have to say I don't normally do reviews but Key Moving was on the money from start to finish. Not only will I use this company again, but I will definitely refer them to anyone in need of a moving company! more

I needed to move a two bedroom apartment from New York to California. I screened a lot of movers and decided on Key Moving because of the excellent reviews for the company. They had originally quoted $2509; a very good price that included wrapping and blankets. This price was based on cubic footage of my items. This move ended up costing me about $4200 in the end. I had to leave some items behind and I was still over by 250 cubic feet. Though they were excellent movers, if I knew how out of proportion my final cost would be, I would have probably gone with another mover. more

I used Key Moving to move last month. They were professional, pleasant and whatever I was promised was delivered. The total cost came to be slightly under the estimate (what a nice surprise)... The movers came on time, in uniforms, they head guy was nice and very knowledgeable. I chose them based on their BBB reviews (A rating) and I'm glad I did so. THE WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER! I Hired this moving company to move my 1 bedroom apartment out into their storage facilities and then was going to use them to move me into my new home. There were 3 movers that took over 4 hours to pack up a 1 bedroom apartment and to top it all then tried to charge me tripple the amount that was quoted to me. When i called to find out why the charges are tripple the amount quoted they started with their excuses and exaduration. They claimed it will take 2 hours for them to drive 10 miles away and 3 hours to unload a truck into a storage facility. When we refused to pay this amount they automatically charged our card without authorization. We called back to resolve this and work it out, they were extremely rude and didnt want to negotiate anything less than the tripple amount charged from the original quote. They said for us to pay or they will take all of our stuff off of the truck and leave it in the street. When we refused to pay they left all of our belongings on the side walk in front of our building. I could not believe how unprofessional rude and nasty Danny the "Owner of the Company" was. I am going to file a complaint with the better business bureau so this does not happen to anyone else more

The crew showed up on time and did a very professional job. All of our things were meticulously handled and we had ZERO damage. The job was competed in less time than the estimate, certainly helped by the fact the Hurricane Irene was coming later that day !! All in all, a very good experience for us. more

I had to move from a 1 bed room apartment in NYC to Texas. This was my first out of state move and I had many questions/concerns. Susan Braunshteyn with Key moving, answered all my questions/concerns promptly and accurately. She was a pleasure to work with and always attentive to my needs. She helped out with some scheduling issues at the start. Once the time was set and contract was signed everything flowed smoothly. 2 movers came on the day of my move promptly and packed everything up securely. They were very professional and finished loading the truck in 2 hrs straight. After 8 days, I called Susan notifying that I am ready to accept delivery of my Items in Texas. she made arrangements with the dispatcher and put me in touch with the driver. The Driver "ODED" was courteous and gave me frequent updates to let me know where he was. He came in at the promised time on the day of the delivery. He unloaded everything carefully, assembled some furniture that needed assembling and was on his way to the next destination . Overall for a first timer, I am very happy and impressed with service provided by Key moving. more

HI Everyone - I just had the best interstate moving experience w/ Key Moving & Storage! I've moved along the east coast a few times, but this move was key as I am finally moving to NYC!!!! Scott Coleman, and the moving crew were fantastic! Efficient, fast and very pleasant at 7:00am!!!! They moved me from Hackensack NJ to Upper West Side, Manhattan in under 4 hours!!!! not bad for aholiday weekend!!! thanks Guys! They recently moved me out of state. They packed up all my belongings with care, quickly and efficiently. I could not be there for the delivery but had arranged someone to open the apartment and their movers moved everything in without any problems. i have used Key Moving on 3 occasions as well and I am always happy with the care they give my furniture and the positive attitude the workers have. They are on time and very quick so you dont have to worry because its an hourly charge. I would recommend them to anyone and if I move again, well, they know me by now. I work in Management and use Storage Companies for evictions. I have seen them throw items around & damage most of the property so I am very happy that I use a company that cares.
