An unbelievable experience you will remember a lifetime! 4/4/2006

If you go to FL, you should try and make a trip to Kennedy Space Center. It appeals to both kids as well as adults. You see real space shuttles, and sometimes you can time it where you can see a real launch! They have lots of activities, and great tours on air conditioned buses! You can spend the whole day here. As for places around the Space Center, there are a few hotels, but nothing as far as shopping or restaurants. more

As close to the moon as you can get 8/27/2005

You dont have to be a space fanatic to really appreciate this place. It is amazing just to think that you are really in the place where the shuttles take off and go right out if our atmosphere and into space. Here they tell you all about making that happen. They show you an old control room. You can actually go inside a real space craft. You see the launch pad, and if you are lucky and they are preparing for a launc you canactually see the shuttle. On shuttle lift off days you can actually see it take off. They show you videos of their work and so many interesting things. You will not want to leave. and you can get some space goodies (like everyones favorite space ice cream) in th gift shop. They they also give you a pass to an activities center where you can test some great stuff. Its just unexpalainable, you have to go and see those simulators themselves. Definitly visit this one. more

Love Space? You'll Have a Blast here! 7/11/2005

My family and I spent the day at the Space center recently and everyone had a tremendous time! This museum more than any other must be toured by any person even remotely interested in the U.S. space program. The space center not only shows you the history, it is history! Looking at the historic sights, such as the launch pads that sent men to the moon, gave me goosebumps. Knowing that those magnificent adventures in space, began right there, is an awe inspiring feeling, not to mention getting to see a Saturn V rocket, the most awesome machine ever built. The re-enactment of the launch of an Apollo mission will make you feel as though you are watching it happen live. "Capcom, we are go for launch." THRILLING! You can take a tour out to the launch site except when a launch is imminent, which one is in less than 2 days. Discovery is set to launch and we will be viewing from Jetty Park. Free to view from there. This is a big day for the family and a good bargain for a Space nut. more
