My family and I spent the day at the Space center recently and everyone had a tremendous time! This museum more than any other must be toured by any person even remotely interested in the U.S. space program.
The space center not only shows you the history, it is history! Looking at the historic sights, such as the launch pads that sent men to the moon, gave me goosebumps.
Knowing that those magnificent adventures in space, began right there, is an awe inspiring feeling, not to mention getting to see a Saturn V rocket, the most awesome machine ever built. The re-enactment of the launch of an Apollo mission will make you feel as though you are watching it happen live. "Capcom, we are go for launch." THRILLING!
You can take a tour out to the launch site except when a launch is imminent, which one is in less than 2 days. Discovery is set to launch and we will be viewing from Jetty Park. Free to view from there.
This is a big day for the family and a good bargain for a Space nut.
