Do as they say, not as they do 9/25/2010

The Kelly's have a number of rules that everyone must follow, of course unless you are a Kelly. While we love their dog, it is all over the place at all hours of the night barking sometimes at 3am outside my door. Also, they routinely have 10somes on the golf course. The roads are bad--I am suprised that someone has not already broken an ankle simply walking on their roads at night. They expect you to mow, and keep your area clean while they let the roads go. more

Kellystone--A nice park.... 7/29/2010

Kellystone Park is a nice campground. The Kelly family does alot to make it fun, comfortable and safe for everyone. The roads need a little help. The golf course is a nice addition to the campground. I'd recommend Kellystone, though it does tend to be a little more pricey than other campgrounds---$200 more than Belden Hill.. It would be nice if the rental of the pavilions was at a reduced rate to the seasonals, like Belden Hill does. more

Kellystone "rocks" 7/9/2010

I'm disappoointed to read these bad reviews for Kellystone. My family has camped there for several years, without a problem. We are not "party people" and therefore have never had a problem with loud or excessive partying on our site. I think it all comes down to having respect for your fellow campers. They have no interest in your outrageous behavior and foul mouth. Thank you to the Kelly's for making the campground a place where I'm pleased to take my family. more

Kellystone Park 7/9/2010

Kellystone Park used to be a nice place to camp. It has now gotten too big, too many people and no control. The Kelly's used to do a very nice thank you dinner for the full time campers. I understand they stopped doing that because there were too many full-timers---what??? They also do nothing about enforcing their rules, one being that kids under 14 are required to wear a bike helmet when riding bikes. And the dogs---how many have their shots and licenses??? And then there are the golf carts, I assume the Kelly's are waiting for something bad to happen before they address that problem.\r Given the proper management and enforcement, Kellystone Park could be a wonderful place for vacation. more

Kellystone Park 7/1/2010

Kellystone Park is a nice family campground. Mr & Mrs Kelly do a nice job with running it. The road leading up the hill constantly needs to be repaired, this has been a problem for years. The Kelly sons, on the other hand, leave something to be desired. Maybe if you can catch them 1st thing in the morning (before they crack open the 1st beer) you can get something done. As long as Mr & Mrs Kelly continue to supervise things, everything will be fine. As for favorites, of course there are favorites, so what? I would recommend Kellystone for a nice stay. more

Love it!! 7/1/2010

We have been camping for the past 9 years. Of all the places we have been to, we like Kellystone the best. The kids love it. The Kelly family has always gone out of their way to welcome us and make us feel at home. We are looking forward to our July 4 camping trip at Kellystone. They have several activities, golf, swimming, horseshoes, volleyball, tennis, basketball, bingo and a bonfire planned for July 4. The group we camp with keeps getting bigger and bigger. We look forward to camping at Kellystone and find it hard to leave. Thank you Kelly's!! more

Great family fun. 5/2/2010

Great place to take my family! I think it is a shame that there are people that feel the need to spread their nasty remarks. Keep it to yourself. more

Kellystone Campground 9/6/2009

I have worked for the Kellys for about 3 years now... we always have a good time and I have had to deal with some of the bad campers myself which is wrong because im a teenage girl. Everyone has fun. You can walk around with your friends (which my parents and I do all the time) or you can come down to the store and rent tennis stuff... a basketball... golf clubs... volleyballs...ect...ect. You only have to pay a $5 deposit and you get it back when you bring the stuff back. The Kellys have rule like the 11 PM curfew that they enforce because they want the people with kids to be able to get to sleep too and so that no one gets hurt. Just because I'm an employee here doesn't mean i don't have fun. Mrs. Kelly makes sure that we all have time to hang out and do our own thing since most of us are seasonals. Yes the road is bad but its been getting better and better every year. more

Kellystone Nightmare 9/5/2009

Ya Ok !!!! Kellystone is a big joke!!!! Nothing but drunks run that place and i see you left that part out. That is a Real good example for our kids. You never see any of the kelly Kids without a beer in their hand. Oh and ya i just love my kids to see the husbands and wife's fighting after they are good and drunk. Yup that's where i want to take my kids for a good camping experience. Lets get real here The Kelly's are Greedy and could care less about the campers. Rule states no mowing, washing campers and other things on Sundays. BUT if you are one of the favorites you can do any of the above on any day you please. They put no money into the site they expect the campers to put their money into fixing them up. And you wont even get as much as a THANK YOU !!!. As far as I'm concerned there is much better Campgrounds then Kellystone and this i know for a fact. Oh ya and that wonderful golf course (Joke) as was said in another review that was done on the backs of the Seasonal like most of t more

Reply to Jade h 9/5/2009

This is in reply to Jade H."s post The only time i have ever seen ANY tournaments of any kind is on the big Holiday weekends.I have watched the Kellys scold campers for being loud and yet others go un-spoken to,when they were louder. And as far as any activities for the children goes, most of them happen once a year. The others happen twice a year. And no one ever said that they did not care for children's safety. But they have VERY double standards when it comes to the campers so called rules,it is very uncalled for.So you can have them, their double standers, and their one time a year tournaments, and i wish you the best of luck. more

What can I say about Kellystone Park 9/4/2009

I must say it is sad to read the negative reviews about Kellystone Park Campground. I have been involved with Kellystone for many years and the one thing that I have noticed is their concern for the safety of children in the park. Not only are they concerned about the safety but the Kelly's set out to entertain the children with Christmas, Halloween, Carnival, and the games and scavenger hunts, bike rodeo,...etc..etc.. I have never felt that my children weren't safe. I have watched from my deck many years over ,children learning to ride their bikes...and not to mention the returning families so their children can have the same experience they had. Kellystone not only provides entertainment for the children, the adults are equally thought of with the horseshoe tournaments, golf tournaments, tennis tournaments, volleyball tournaments, luau, pig roast,etc...etc...\r The seasonal campers range from sheriffs, to homemakers, to bank investers, to school teachers. I have many times witness more

Kellystone Park Campsites is a rip off 8/7/2009

now what could I say about the Kelly Stone camp ground. It started out pretty good at first till they started to nit pick at any and all there. Favoritism is most irritating they do. Loud parties going on at one camp site, and they will come by and tell the people at the camp site across the road to keep it down. Yelling at campers driving to fast, and let others drive by even faster than the ones they just yelled at. As far as doing any thing at all for the seasonal campers there, they do nothing at all. No Bands, music of any kind, acctivites, nothing. What is done there is done by the seasonal campers. Any get togethers of most any kind is done by the seasonal campers as well. On the Holliday weekends they do muster up a hayride, and bonfire. But don?t drink too much or get loud, There will be a Kelly there to tell you to keep it down, that?s if they aren?t to drunk to see to it that is. Don?t ask for a fireplace. You won?t get one. You?ll have to make your own. At your cost. more

Kellystone Camp 7/24/2009

Kellystone could be a nice place if they would put some effort into maintaining the roads going to and inside the campground. The main focus now seems to be the golf course. They are making improvements to the golf course on the backs of the seasonal campers. Too bad. I heard from a seasonal that her rate increased $200. Wow!!!! more

Kellystone Campground 6/11/2009

Kellytone is a good place to camp for a weekend, But i wouldn't recommend it as a Seasonal. The owners are not very friendly and they like to nickel and dime you for every little thing. The Activities are awful. They dont do anything for the seasonal campers. This CampGround has a Registered sex offender as a seasonal Camper more

Kellystone Park Campground 9/23/2008

My family camped at Kellystone Park over the Labor Day weekend. The campground is nice, sites well-spaced and people are friendly. On the down side, the condition of the roads leading up to the campground as well as those inside the park are deplorable. My husband refuses to abuse our truck & fifth wheel on those roads again. Too bad, it could be a really nice place if they maintained it properly. more

Kellystone Park 6/23/2008

If the owners really cared about the campers and their units, they would do something to fix the road conditions going up into the park. The road is awful----I won't be taking my camper back there anytime soon. more

When my niece and newphews came to vist, they wanted to camp. We had heard good things about Kellystone, so recommended it to them. They were really happy with it. The site was nice, the other campers were friendly, and the owners were especially nice to recommended shopping and dining places to them. more
