Responsive and caring 10/6/2011

I have been using Bayleaf Vet ( Dr. Wilson and Dr. Ferguson) for 10 years. Every time I call with an issue - I am treated with respect and responded to in a timely fashion. The hands on care is second to none. Bayleaf's surgery prices are better than fair and I am always given a cost estimate before any procedure. I have 3 children - and I wish that the care offered to them by their pediatricians was as good as the care I get at Bayleaf. more

We love Dr. Ferguson and everyone at Bayleaf ! 8/11/2011

I have been taking my dog Max and my 2 cats, Slinky and Binky to Bayleaf for nearly 10 years. I love all the veterinarians at Bayleaf and the staff. The fees are some of the most reasonable in the area and the quality of care is second to none. Dr. Ferguson has been especially kind to our cats and they respond wonderfully to her calm and kind demeanor. Max had emergency surgery at Bayleaf for gastric bloat. Two doctors and 2 technicians came in after hours to perform the surgery. Max came through a difficult surgery with flying colors and I credit the doctors and staff at Bayleaf with saving his life. I won't go anywhere else! more

heartless with dog patient 6/19/2010

My dog Max a black lab was a patient of this practice for 11 years. My dog developed breathing difficulties very suddenly. This vet practice not only did not diagnose the problem but refused to help my dog when he became so ill that his lungs filled with fluid and he could not even lay down. Bayleaf refused to see him and could not be botherdd to see him. I had to take him in the middle of the night to another emergency practice (Quail Corners Animal Hospital) and they drained his lungs and diagnosed him with lung cancer. He received very compassionate care there and even though he had to be euthanized a few days later, I felt that Quail Corners did everything they could to save him. more

A great veterinarian service 10/19/2006

I had to write a review after seeing the one negative one on this site. I am sorry for the experience that this person had at this vet, Bayleaf, but we have been taking our labrador here for 10 years and I am very happy with all the vets here. We have also been able to take my daughter's very large cat here and same result - caring vets who take the time to work with you and your pet, treat them well and answer all questions. I have never felt they have looked down on my care-taking abilities and found all the staff there very responsive.Their prices are not higher than average and in some cases are less. They do not do unneccessary tests. We have a lab that we cannot get close to in order cut her nails, as she freaks out, yet after examining her Dr. Wilson himself sat on the floor and cut all her nails while we looked on in total amazement . Maggie had total trust in him, as do we. Please, give Bayleaf a chance and I think you will be pleased.. Ten years with no problems can't be an anamoly - these people are good. And that includes all the staff that work at the counter as well. My only wish is that they had larger boarding facilites for pets as their facilties are really too small for some older and/or large dogs. Pros: great vets, answer all your questions, no rushing Cons: could have larger boarding facilities for larger and /or older pets more

Horrible experience! 8/12/2006

Being new to the area I asked a neighbor for a recommendation for a good vet and was told that they had a great experience with Bayleaf. I called for an immediate appointment as my cat was experiencing a very bad ear infection. The vet made it seem as if I was unwilling and unable to care for my animal. I was astonished by her attitude and asked why - her reason that I was not a good caregiver was because I had actually brought her to the vet. So if I am to understand correctly bringing a sick animal to the vet makes you a bad care giver. The vet then actually told me that my cat could not feel pain as she was crying in my arms. This again was a concept I could not and do not understand.\r Not only will I never cross their door again - I intend to tell anyone I can what an awful experience I had at this vet. Please do not take your animal to this vet for any reason! \r \r I have since found a fantastic vet who honestly cares about cats and knows cats ""inside and out"" and most importantly she knows cats feel pain and does all she can to limit that pain. So if you have a cat you will be happy to meet Doctor Wendy Simpson at Morrisville Cat Hospital! But wherever you go please care about your animals and DO NOT BRING THEM TO BAYLEAF!! Cons: Vet does not believe animals feel pain or sick animals should be brought to the vet. more
