What a great Dr!!! Dr Kaplan takes his time, listens and gives great feedback! He is a true find!! He has great contacts and referred me to another Dr. friend of his. They are working together to solve my issues. No ego, VERY smart.....GREAT bedside manner!\r Just be prepared to wait...very busy office. WORTH IT! more

Roy Kaplan is simply the best doctor. Ever. 2/19/2009

Just moved to Madison WI from San Diego... Roy Kaplan is probably the finest doctor I have ever come across. After being misdiagnosed for 20 years, he found the problem and cured it. He is caring, kind, and extremely thorough. Be prepared for a very long wait in the office! Bring a book... It's completely worth it. He spends a long time with his patients and doesn't let them go until he is satisfied with their care. Pros: Amazing diagnostition, brilliant, encyclopediac knowledge of his craft. Cons: long waiting times, totally worth the wait. more

Best Rhuematologist 6/24/2008

He has been wonderful. You may have to wait to see hime but it is worth the wait. I had surgery on both of my ankles for torn tendons. I was always told that it was because I had flat feet. He showed me that my ankles were diseased because of the arthritis. He showed me how everything I was feeling tied together and I had to look at things differently. He is the best. Have your questions ready at the consultation. He spends time with you and the office staff is great. more

Best rheumatologist in SD county 2/27/2008

If you have RA, fibromyalgia, hard-to-diagnosis muscle or joint pain, or are fighting for benefits, Kaplan is the only doctor to see. Even if you're in an HMO, if you aren't getting the care you need, try to find the funds to see him on your own. He is TOO good in the way that makes for a long wait to get in and his visits short. Be prepared; ask questions and he'll find the time to answer them. I 'found' him when he was hired by my insurance to get me OFF disability; he proved my case beyond any doubt instead. I've been to just about everyone in the county, and none compare. more
