The Scene
From the country's largest indoor water park to a huge convention center to a number of dining options, Kalahari is the perfect one-stop spot in the Dells. And I haven't even mentioned the spa or the 740 plush hotel rooms. The African theme is everywhere, from baby lion cubs in the main lobby to decor in the rooms.

The Draw
With both a massive indoor and outdoor waterpark, Kalahari provides more than a splash of fun 12 months a year. The absolute highlight is the indoor Master Blaster--a virtual roller-coaster of a ride, with jets of water propelling you (and your raft) up and down at break-neck speed. n the winter, there will be lines inside, but come up in the summer when the crowds are outside and the indoor park is almost tranquil (and line-free). Adventurous souls will go for the Flow Rider, which enables riders to either surf or body-surf as 50,000 gallons of water a minute form a 5-foot constant wave.
