This place is as authentic as they come. It's run by two, friendly Jamaicans who have lived in the states for a while, but have retained the savory tastes of their homeland. The menu is full of tastes of the island: jerc (aren't allowed in this review to use the real word) chicken and pork , curry goat, fried plantains, beans and rice. The jerc chicken and pork were spicy, wet and full of flavor. The plantains were fried perfectly, were not greasy and tasted sweet. Of course I had to have the beans and rice, which were plentiful and flavorful. I washed it down with an authentic Jamaican sparkling drink.
Pros: Plantains, jerc chicken, friendly service
Cons: Not well lit at night, need to play more reggae music
