Awesome food and service!!! 3/18/2010

This is one of the best middle eastern restaurants in the north Miami beach area. The owner, Ali, is awesome. He treats all of his customers like family, and knows his frequent customers by name. my wife and I go there all the time with our friends and family and everyone we take there ends up going back with their friends and family. more

Great Restaurant! 2/22/2010

This is an excellent middle eastern restaurant with great food and excellent service. The owner is very friendly and will make sure you are completely satisfied with everything. They have very good pita wraps, beef and chicken shawarma, and very good lamb chops. Their soups are also excellent, especially the carrot bisque soup. Even the desserts are good, especially the bachlava and creme caramel. I would definitely recommend this place! Pros: Food, service, inexpensive Cons: Sometimes gets a little crowded more

It doesn't taste like middleeastern food at all 1/11/2010

It was my second time being there when I decided I'll never go back . I've been there on halloween day, the food was ok but i liked the service. The waitress was very nice, she was very attentive and friendly. This time, I went there with my familly, and I was very dissapointed by the sevice. The waiter was in another world, I had to ask him to bring me hot sauce many times, and it was like talking to a wall. I ended up by not getting it. I agree with Sayyid that if you just wanna chat, it's the right place to go to.The owner doesn't stop talking, it is annoying specially when you're eating. He's very proud of his business, although I don't see anything special about it Pros: lamb chops and ghallaba Cons: service, food more

Just OK 1/8/2010

I went there with my family on a weekday. The place is small and crowded. The food was just ok and nothing was too good to come back for.\r the owner was a very very nice young man and he made our day just by chating with him.\r Unless you want to chat without having real middle eastern food, I suggest you go there. If not, I think you have to find some where else. Pros: Nice owner Cons: Every thing else more

Great place! 1/1/2010

We stumbled on this gem the other night after seeing a movie at the Sunrise theatres. The owner is friendly and hospitable taking pride in his food and service. The mesa platter is very good as is the kabob sandwich- loved the Lebanese wine. The flan was better than any we've eaten before. We are putting this restaurant on our ""favorites"" list. Pros: wonderful food, flan is amazing, staff delightful more

THE BEST in Miami 9/10/2009

I've been here many times, and every time I get a craving for Lebanese/Middle Eastern cuisine --- this is the place to go!\r The menu offers options for everyone, including vegetarians! :)\r Hummus, Falafel, Tabbouli, Kabobs, Soups, Salads, and Baklava!!!\r Doesn't matter what we order, we always leave happy. I hope this place continues to serve the Miami area for many years to come :) Pros: Food, Ambience, Friendly Employees Cons: Service can sometimes be a little slow (yet, it's worth it!) more

Won't find better in Miami! 3/10/2009

Food is fresh and fantastic. Service is very personable which is often lacking in middle eastern restaurants. Exactly what I've been waiting for in the Miami area more

Pleasant Owner, Delicious Food, Great Hummus and Kabobs, Fresh Lemonade--A FIND! 1/30/2009

The hummus really is the best in this area. The cucumber yogurt is pleasantly herbally, lots of chunky-crisp cucumber bits. The falafels are crisp and delicious. The tabouli is just okay. I also found the tahini too diluted with lemon juice. The meat and thyme pies were both crispy and fresh, and the meat one was nicely ""hot"". The lentil soup was bland.\r \r I've tried the beef kabob, the ground beef kabob, the chicken kabob, and the m'jadra (a lentil with rice malange topped with yumsy fried onions and yogurt on the side). All were very good. I was especially surprised by how nice the kafta kabob was (the g round beef one), with parsley and onion mixed in. On one visit, one of my chicken pieces was just slightly, barely undercooked and though it was just ONE small kabob piece, the owner's wife (our waitress) offered to take it back and cook it. Nice. \r \r I want to put in the good word for the super herbally Fatoush salad. The toasty pita bits are a lovely crispness and the herbs are plentiful, but not obnoxiously so.\r \r Desserts: The rice pudding is basic and perfect, sprinkled with cinnamon. The creme caramel was excellent on two occasions, offputtingly eggy on a third. Though the owner, Ali, said it was from the same batch--and I totally believe him--my sister and I could not eat it. I expected at least a credit for it, but, okay, there we go. I'm sticking with the rice pudding from now on. That's been consistently good.\r \r The lemonade is homemade fresh and only 2 bucks! The turkish coffee is often not hot enough, but the flavor is tasty with cardamon.\r \r Tonight, I'm going to do takeout and try the mousaka (eggplant appetizer) and the potato kibbe. I've eaten here five times in the last two weeks. That's how much we enjoy Kabobji.\r Pros: Yummy food, friendly owners, decent prices, fabulous lemonade, vegetarian options Cons: someone smoked on one visit, creme caramel was ""off"" one day more
