I had a Blast 12/2/2010

I found K1 Speed to be extremely fun. I had a blast when I went. I have never had any of their staff be anything but nice, my only complaint was they turned down speed on my kart for bumping stating it was a safety issue, which I guess is understandable but it is racing. more

Awful 3/28/2009

Unless you're super agro you'll hate this place. It's really changed since the old champs days. It's full of jerks and bullies, and the marshalls are all buddies with them, so if you have any problem getting smacked around by the creeps you'll get blamed for it. I saw a woman leave here in tears. Stay away! Cons: only for sociopaths more

What a blast! 9/18/2008

If you want to break out of a rut and feel like a kid again then do some racing. Dropped by initially on 9/13 later at night, had no idea they'd be open - got some great info from a really sweet and funny gal up front, gave me the confidence to try it out. Easy... and addictive! Will be a great venue for a group/party. And there is a Kidd Valley close by if you want a great burger and shake after.\r \r An aside... these are electic and have NO exhaust, a pleasant surprise. Pros: The cars are surprisingly fast and tough. A bit of a workout if you did many races. Cons: Was slightly hard to find the first time, but this is minor. more

great customer service 9/5/2008

I was recently informed of what k1 speed was all about by my friends, and when we raced there a few days ago it was a great experience. my friend and i were greeted within a few seconds of entering the front door, i asked about setting up a party and the front desk girl was very friendly and informed me of who i needed to call. another employee gave us rules and was extremely humorous which made us all laugh and lightened up our moods. i plan on becoming a regular customer. more

RUN BY KIDS 9/2/2008

I went to K1 Speed on Sunday for a birthday party. When we first arrived the guy and girl at the front counter were in the middle of a conversation and didn't realize that we were there for about five minuets. They finally halfway looked up at us and mumbled a greeting, we got logged in to race and were given the rules by a kid who seemed very threatening. The racing was short lived and it seemed like as soon as we got done racing they wanted us to leave. After the race I went looking for some change for the video games and the staff had disappeared. I finally found half the employees outside smoking. The kids at k1 obviously do not care about customer service or cleanliness, not only was i ignored and pushed around but the bathrooms were horrible, the toilets were not flushed and there was water pooling around the sinks. Save your money and go somewhere with proper management. Pros: Video Games Cons: Staff more

WICKED PLEASURE 4/19/2008

I found the front desk staff to be very sweet and professional as heck- Seriosly --one race is not enough-- be prepaired to spend 50-60 bucks. I went with a bachlor party-- i guess they do them all the time-- we got free pool cause we were a scheduled event and they even changed the tv to seahawks for us so that we could watch the game--this is hands down the best place for you and your buddies to come hang out-- i would give it more stars if i could Pros: Guys place--Awsome Staff! Good karting place 4/5/2008

I've been to this place when it was Champs, and the level of service is really the same. the people act relatively friendly and are informative if you're a first-timer. The karts are wonderful! they have great torque and really zip through the courses numerous hairpins and straights. Even though its a racing facility, they have a food counter and some gaming areas, pool tables, and a bunch of tv's for watching races and whatever sporting event they put on. I've never had the food there, but they give you free soda for large groups. But unfortunatly, the track isn't very big. You can really see this on their website; the tracks in their other locations are ENOURMOUS!!! Despite that, the karts go through it well and its bundles of fun if you're a die-hard race fan. Their aren't many karting places in the metro area, and the ones that exist are usually part of a theme park. For real racing, this is the place! RUDE STAFF, WASTE OF MONEY! 3/11/2008

This staff was rude and unpersonal, it truley seemed that we were an inconvience to them. Even the girl at the front desk was expressionless. If you're looking for a place to take your kids for a fun night of racing and games...this isnt the place to do it! The one nice thing i can say is that its kept very clean versus some of the other indoor carting tracks that ive been too, but pretty expensive for just one race, we paid $85.00 for 3 people 1 race each. VERY RUDE STAFF, HORRIBLE CARS 1/25/2008

This is not go cart racing. Cars are not gas engine they are electric powered and very slow. They can slow you down by pushing a button and going fast is good reason for them to slow you down because they don't want the tires get worn out. It was very bad experience. I left the race in the middle. Their cars are so valuable they will not let you have any fun. And the personal were so rude.\r Cons: Rude Staff more

Best Indoor Karts on the Eastside 12/6/2007

This is the most fun i have had in so long-- the girls at the front counter were awsome, friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful, i would definately recomend coming and doing the 3 for 50 (3 races for 50bucks) it seems like a lot but it is worth it! The track is very curvy and the karts go 35! An adrenaline rush that is instantly addicting! Pros: The girls at the front counter are so friendly, the Karts are FAST! Cons: The location-- i got so lost more

Bad Business 7/10/2007

\r I had even got a year membership from them. They became part of the new company (K1 Speed) and they no longer honor the existing memberships. Have to pay them for a new annual license / membreship. more

  • Their nationwide indoor go kart racing locations are open to the general public 7 days a week when not reserved for a private event. Whether you want to race against the clock or race against a friend, the Arrive and Drive option allows individuals to come in and shoot for the best fast lap against friends, family and other racers. Additionally, K1 Speed features state of the art meeting rooms that can accommodate small or large groups! Each Arrive and Drive session lasts for about ten minutes and may include one to 12 drivers, depending on the location and track size. First time drivers will receive a mandatory briefing session on rules and safety.
