The Best Tagine and Couscous I have ever had 3/2/2007

If you are in the mood for a Morrocan date this is the place to go. We ordered the Lamb Tagine, Merguez Couscous and Combination Salad. Wow what cuisine. The tagine with Moriccan bread is out of this world. The Couscous was the right compliment on such a cold day. A secret. When you mention Citysearch the glass of wine is on the house. My date was very happy. We finished with the hot mint tea. The best meal of the year. Pros: Very good food. Great Morrocan Cons: Limited wine selection more

Avoid. Period. 2/17/2007

This was perhaps the worst dining experience I have ever had; I am not trying to embellish. more

Best Kept Secret for Moroccan Food 4/10/2006

Jour Et Nuit has the best Moroccan food. Their couscous and tagines are splendid. I would recommended the Combination Supreme salad for starters to share with friends. And then for an entree with lamb or seafood, or if your vegetarian, the couscous. All are really great. Then end the meal with some Moroccan tea. What I like so much about the restaurant is that its really earthy. The decor is great with really beautiful tile work floors and tables. The chefs/owners were really nice and even garaunteed their food to be the best. You feel like your in Morocco where everyone knows everyone and the food just makes the atmosphere great. This is not your typical yuppie fakey post modern restaurants. This is the REAL stuff with REAL people who love to entertain and have a passion for food. The restaurant is in the up and coming neighborhood of Astoria. Pros: Food, Decor, Ambiance Cons: Not in Manhattan more

Best Moroccan Food in New York City 11/12/2005

I have been to them all. Jour et Nuit's food is by far the best of any Moroccan restaurant in the City. Exquisite... sublime... authentic... can't wait to go back! Also, the prices are very reasonable. Pros: Excellent Food, Nice people, Reasonable Prices Cons: Not in Manhattan more
