Very Nice 12/14/2004

From the time you walk in you are treated like royality. The service is very nice and the staff is excellent. I travel all over the world and I would rate this spa very highly. I especially like the decor. It has a very hip feel. Pros: Staff, Decor, Service more

Wonderful 12/8/2004

This was my present to myself and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed an hour long massage, salt scrub, facial, manicure and pedicure. Everything was so relaxing and I enjoyed every minute of it. I was a tiny bit dissapointed in the manicure and pedicure just becasue it was so pricey. All in all it was great and I highly suggest Joie de Vie! I will be going back soon. Pros: free parking, coupons offered, friendly staff more

Miss Meghan 12/8/2004

This spa was amazing. Not only did I get to get to know my hairdresser, but I was amazed at the color she obtained with my hair. There was no wait when I arrived. The atmosphere was to die for ; blending funky and fun with sophistication and class. The people who work here are polite and ready to offer any advice on body and spirit. After a relaxing hour my hair was the perfect color and with the additonal Kerastase treatment it reached the smoothest texture I have ever experienced. I loved it so much that I go there every month and have not been unsatisfied once. Highly recommend the experience! Pros: Professional, Courteous, Ability more

Doctor 12/8/2004

I can think of no other place to pamper yourself in Austin that has the warmth and ambience of this European type spa. I was greeted at the door with a glass of wine and hors deouves during a mini spa evening. What a pleasurable and relaxing experience. I chose the massage and facial. It was truly heaven. I highly recommend this girls evening out to all my friends. Later I booked a hair cut and color and was not disappointed. Again the high quality and beautiful results have paid off in the numerous compliments I have received. Hats off to the staff and owners! Pros: Ambience, Staff, Service more

Wedding Day! 10/28/2004

Having spent a couple of days here for our daughter's wedding, I can think of no better place to have a bride's hair and make-up done. We also had a "spa afternoon" for the bridesmaids and moms that was amazing fun, as well as great massages and manicures. The staff was professional and very current with styles for all the wedding party. I would definitely recommend Joie de Vie for anyone planning a wedding. All the staff went out of their way to make for a special day pleasant and less stressful. Pros: Great atmosphere, Professional staff, Convenient to downtow more

Spectacular service 10/26/2004

Joie de Vie is an amazing adventure into bliss. The moment you arrive, you are embraced by the ambience of a true European-style salon. The owner always makes a point to provide a warm welcome; the staff in turn are just as gracious, and pamper you from head-to-toe; and regardless of how stressed you may be when you arrive, you are soon lost in the luxury of the surroundings and the care that you are treated with. No other salon/spa in Austin compares to the experience of Joie de Vie. Pros: outstanding service, luxurios surroundings more

this is the cream of the crop 10/10/2004

This is an assemblage of the finest stylists in Austin! The whole place is beautiful and while the first floor salon abounds with energy, music and fashion, the downstairs spa is tranquil and calming. Pros: Kerastasse!! more

best rainy day 10/4/2004

If the Chronicle had a "best way to spend a rainy day" category, Joie de vie would get my vote. I went in on a miserable, stormy day. Having a gift certificate in my pocket, I got to spend several hours there. The massage room was gorgeous--and the massage heavenly. My cranberry pedicure was refreshing, my hair stylist was awesome. We did a Kerastase treatment on my hair, and I swear I've never seen it look or feel so good! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from it all Great desk staff too. Very friendly place! Pros: awesome staff, easy to get to, lovely atmosphere Cons: , a little pricey more
