Best

This is one of the most consistently great restaurants in Houston. The shrimp gumbo is some of the best I have eaten. If you're in the mood for fish - try the pecan crusted trout ...

Worst

Went for lunch today, horrible experience! Found dirty chair when i went to sit down, waitress was there and took credit for the filthiness and asked for me to excuse it. Waitress...

Got into town late and wanted something local, but close to the hotel. Jimmy G's had good reviews so we decided to give it a whirl. My husband and I shared the fried shrimp and it was yum-o! The batter had great seasoning. I could have eaten the platter of bread by myself! The service was very friendly. Overall great experience. more

This place is very expensive and not worth the quality / quantity of food you get. They do not have a lunch menu. Lunch prices are close to $20 and you get no side salad with that. You're better off going elsewhere!! more

We visited as we were staying next door at the Hyatt Place, we sat at the bar which was great, very atmospheric and the servers were great. We had a delicious serving of fresh shrimp, with Cajun seasoning as well as turtle soup cups.\r \r I highly recommend the restaurant especially to anyone staying next door! There we're plenty of option (varying in price) it was definitely worth it! more

I was staying not to far and waiting for a flight so didn't want to go to far. I went in and was seated at the bar to watch the game. The appetizer served is a nice garlic butter bread that is very good. I noticed many eating oysters and shrimp that looked good. I had the blackened stuffed red fish with a poncharitan sauce (Very Good) mixed vegetables sauted and a loaded potatoe with a beer that totaled around $36 Im still craving the fish will go back. more

We found this place quite by accident. It had good atmosphere for a business meeting. The waitress suggested the Grilled Oysters. They were great. Blackened Catfish was also excellent. The crawfish were average at best. Overall a great place to eat with above average food and a few excellent choices. more

Ate here while staying nearby at the Marriott North. The service was really very good and our waiter was fun and attentive.\r \r I had a good catfish meal. Pretty hot and spicy, but that's what you should expect at a place like this. I really liked that and the meal was very value priced as well. I would recommend this to anyone in the area. more

The path from the airport to Jimmy G's took a bit to figure out but the drive is well worth it. The menu and fresh offerings were numerous. Everything was fresh, tasted incredible, and the portions were large. If you near the airport, make a trip to Jimmy G's. more

the crawfish bisque is spectacular, the gumbo is very good, the cajun shishkabob is excellent too, all the food we tried was worth the visit. Went there the night before we went to Puerto Vallarta for vacation, we liked it so well we decided to go there on the return trip.....the only weak point was the wait for service, especially on the return trip, but we will go back 'cause the food was exceptional. more
